Isn't crash suppose to be insane, he always acted like a raving lunatic that just happens to be the good guy.

I don't think crash is the kind of character that works well in a speaking role, should have stayed mute.

I keep remembering some source saying they tried to design spyro as differently from his original look while pleasing activation as they didn't want the skylander's game to focus on him and instead focus on the diverse cast of characters.
Naturally it ended up him being the main focus of everything.

If there is any legitness to that I dunno, maybe I dreamed it up during a fever dream I had when I first saw redesigned spyro.
