I'm saying one day of real gameplay in a real airsoft match won't tell you anything significant. The things that matter, like FPS, accuracy, rate of fire, and range, are better gleaned from controlled testing and measurement than anecdotes. Other factors like durability can't be assessed from just a game or two. So I don't see why you're so against reviews that haven't been 'battlefield tested', since actually using it a couple of times doesn't change that much, and I think it's unreasonable to expect months to years of ownership before a review can be written. Sure, Dark could stand to have a lot more detail in his review- like, what are the gearbox internals like, what AK parts is it compatible with, or general shooting performance; but the fact that he hasn't used it yet at a game doesn't make his input worthless, especially since he clearly states he'll be updating it as an ongoing process.
I'm not saying fielding it a few times is going to change anything about the performance (other than fps slightly as the spring breaks in), I'm saying that it helps with getting actual range testing, and helps with making a good prediction if something is going to go wrong.
Hell, I never made a real review of my beloved CM yet because I was waiting for something to go wrong, which eventually did happen, which is the gun getting cold and the trigger locking up occasionally.
I just take an instant dislike to people who only care if someone agrees with you or not.
Yes. It's a short first impressions review.
It does however contain useful information. He took a magnet to the metal to find out what is steel, which is much more accurate than what manufactures usually say. He also provided pictures from different angles in different lighting than the manufacturer provides.
When did I say I care if someone agrees with me or not? I just didn't understand what he was trying to say.

Not that you didn't understand what he was trying to say, that you didn't understand whether or not he "agrees" with you. You clearly cared enough to post.
You can't expect every review to be 6 months after getting the gun. Every little scrap of information that is not provided to you by the manufacturers/sellers is useful.
If he added more info after a couple of games, and then more info after a few months it would be even better.

I cared enough about what he was trying to say, not if he agrees with me. I don't give a single fuck seeing that all of you choose to hate me instead of letting things go.
I wasn't actually aware that people hate you. I haven't been in the airsoft section for like, a year.
I can see why people choose to hate you though.
I think Kawaii is having a bad day.
Give him a break, stop arguing, move on.
Man, that furniture has some nice grain, so much nicer than my Dboys which is like a really oversaturated red color with no visible grain.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with a first impressions review, he can update it when he plays with it.

Shit that reminded me, I need to show you guys how my AK came out
Does anyone have the link to that wood restaining thread, also I'm gonna let it weather its self
afaik it's either the Marushin M1 or a custom M14 AEG conversion.
Also:
Can we please dispense with the annoying complaining. He clearly stated that he made the "review" because he was bored. Take what useful information you can from it and be done with it.
If you don't like it for whatever reason, get over it and don't read the thread
Marushin made an 8mm shell ejecting M1 Garand, as well as 8mm non ejecting M1 and M2 carbines. There are no current Garand AEGs or kits. There are a few Garands in the works to my knowledge, some sort of GBB by WE, an ICS Aeg, and I think another one. I may be off on the brands though, details are kinda low right now.
That's why I said it's probably a custom conversion.
I actually have the guide to do it around here somewhere.
