Let's all just take a deep breath. And re-read OP. This is about corruption in games journalism. These people have relationships with each other and game devs that pose a blatant conflict of interest. (e.g. the IGF scandal) These people are in a position of power and have a close network that they use to spin a narrative and agenda (e.g. the "gamers are dead" articles) and the games industry is worse off for it. (Where's that imgur album about changes made to The Stanley Parable and other games?) The pretense that articles are reviewed before being published puts the Editors of these websites in a position not unlike an Epicurean dialogue where they are either comically inept or a willing participant of the corruption, either case revealing them unfit for their job. As consumers we will deprive their shitty click-bait articles of views and contact their advertisers to stop funding their behaviour that serves only to be self-destructive to the very industry they rely on. In order to give these standardless, utter fuckwits the public shaming they rightfully deserve, we need to inform the public of their bullshit.

You can't have a spokesperson for Gamergate, we're a giant collective of people doing their own thing. We would not have gotten this far if we had a spokesman or a director or a leader. Even people like Baldwin or IntArist are voices in the crowd. Maybe voices with more fans than others, but just voices.
