no one should get 100% positivity. it's wasteful. Parents shouldn't even be 100% positive all the time. You don't grow like that. You shrink. You get lesser by being propped up all the time. Emotionally or physically it's true. You need negativity to grow. I'm drastically opposed to all this coddling we feel we need to do now. You do not grow like this.

I would love to rant on end about how useless a mentality it is to create a world where confrontation and disagreements don't happen because everyones too weak willed to be confrontational or disagree but there's no point. This mentality will either die due to it's own weak nature or it won't because people would rather be coddled than told they can be wrong. I just think for 10 seconds about all the times in my life being wrong made me change, and grow, and be better and think differently and gave me the different paradigm that I needed. Growth in my life has always come from self realizations, and those can never happen if people are only positive towards you.
