This is only the tip of the iceberg too. Quite literally, this video is... pretty weak compared to some of the stuff I'll be covering later.
There's logs I'm working with that are flat out damning, that people have yet to even be aware of. Zoe Quinn is quite a hurtful person, I hope everyone will be able to see that through the subsequent videos.

The problem with #gamergate is that you're either already in the thick of it, or you wouldn't care if we explained anyway.
The general gist of it is that a group of people, journalists, IndieFund, IGF, etc. were allegedly manipulating the media for their own or their friends' gains. This has the possible consequence of popularising mediocre games, while journalists fail to cover games that truly merits attention. This is while journalists accuse gamers for being misogynistic for reasons I never quite understood what.
The problem is, this is only a problem if you really care about games. Games aren't accepted by society at the levels film and music are. It hasn't exactly risen to 'important cultural artifact' status yet. Thus, most people either care about games and are already deep in GamerGate, or don't care about games, preferring to denounce misogyny, or are still oblivious to this whole thing.
We have to remember, GamerGate isn't as big as we like to think it is. We might have found some dirt on the Indiefund and other people, but they don't really equate to much more than small time fraudsters. To most people, we're raising a shitstorm over what they would consider 'just video games'.
If we want people to see beyond the 'neckbeards are misogynystic', we have to convince people of the cultural importance of games. And I'm really not intending to do that until there's an obviously pretentious Hollywood-standard Oscar-bait that I can point them to.

There's more than what you said, I feel, because I've seen almost exactly this type of behaviour before. That's what entitled girls do when they think they know their partner. The underlying reason is, of course, as you noted, blame-shifting, but there's another layer. LOOK AT HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU! It only happens when I'm with YOU! Why don't you love me back and just BELIEVE EVERYTHING I TELL YOU?!
It looks like everyone's favorite guilt-trip, but that's not quite it yet. It's appeal to empathy. Look at poor me, I'm in love and crazy, and it's all because of you. Plz love me and don't question me. Pity me, I'm poor little girl who lost her shit.
It clearly happens again at around 50:40. It's in plain sight.
And that's a recurring theme, too. And the implication is even worse. It's not just that Eron DOES something that makes her act in an irrational way, it's his mere existence, mere presence in her life. Which, she says, she really-really doesn't want to end, and doesn't think that Eron wants too, or else there wouldn't be "see this is why I can't be with you" shit earlier in the flow of the video. [i]Eron's responsible for her because he is just [b]there[/b], not because of his actions[/i]. Everything she does is excusable because she's just a girl in love. Automatically. It doesn't even require justification or reason further than that.
You also say about intimidation. That all-caps can be intimidating to look at, and that it's yelling. Not in this case. In this case it's actually a well-calculated impression. That's "oh my god I'm so hysterical right now and can't help myself", it's yelling, but it's sort of crying-yelling with makeup all over her face and shit. Jumping in an out of it with sorta "normal" speech, punctuated and all - it's literally crying, then sobbing a little, and crying in full voice again.
It's supposed to appeal to empathy, not to intimidate. Again, it's just "pity me".
