twitch told them to stop because it wasn't video games despite the fact they have mega64 podcasts every sunday that is anything but video games and a entire music section
Twitch is such a fucking cancerous site I've stopped supporting them all together. Shame too, I wanted to subscribe to some people.
Fair enough. Please keep that advice in mind next time someone calls you (collectively speaking, of course) a shitlord or worse than ISIS.
It's one thing calling someone out on greedy, scummy premises with a stereotype as an anonymous person, and another thing when a public figure representing a company of sorts calls a customer/reader worse that a terrorist organization that is currently killing journos. Also 4chan being "homophobic", they have an /LGBT/ board of all things.
you know the thing is 8chan seems so foreign and visually unappealing to me and a part of me can't leave the website that has raised me for so many years but at the same time /v/ is not the /v/ I once knew. Growing up isn't fun and I hate it
And then when it leaks they claim the group was known about publicly. These people are absolutely disgusting.
I thought she got fired, what happened?
Nothing, really. The MN9 devs just kind of ignored the whole thing. To be fair the position of community manager seems to be little more than a glorified head forum admin as the community hasn't had much say in anything outside that one Call poll. Also there wasn't really any damning evidence against Dina, just a bunch of very suspicious tweets that she should've deleted before introducing herself but didn't. Very unprofessional, but not corrupt in itself.
Uploading now, but going to sit on it until later this evening. Here's the thumbnail! Not sure what's going to happen w/ this video. I see one of two things happening: no one watches it, or everyone does. We'll see.
twimg... means you tweeted that. How long did it take for the first insult to come in?
They should be introduced to the best game in the world [del]Depression[/del] Progress Quest.
To this day I still cannot tell if the PQ forums are being sarcastic or not.
No no, you still see the opposing team as terrorists, and that's how they see you as well. It's kind of clever, actually.
Something tells me that the more poetic spin of that meaning is lost somewhere on the way... [editline]22nd September 2014[/editline]
Operation Nordlitch is happening on 8chan they are writing a book to sell on amazon about their side of the story. lawfags and writingfags are all doing it. proceeds go to charity
Is that "Nordlitch" or Nordlicht? Both make sense in context so I'm confused. Also I somehow doubt they'll manage to get something consistent done and published.
If Dina does anything stupid with MN9, she's going to alienate their most important target audience, that is, the very 'core' gamers that are likely to actually care about the game but also keeping tabs on #gamergate. The way I see it, the Japanese devs are probably clueless concerning what's going on right now. Dina better understand the significant and precarious position she's in, or the devs are going to be the ones to suffer at the end.

But after what I learned about her, my expectations have started to dip drastically. I do feel really bad for the ones that donated a lot of money and now, they won't get the product they pledged for.
you know the thing is 8chan seems so foreign and visually unappealing to me and a part of me can't leave the website that has raised me for so many years but at the same time /v/ is not the /v/ I once knew. Growing up isn't fun and I hate it
The biggest problem I have with 8chan is how unorganized it is compared to 4chan. When anyone can make their own board the site quickly becomes cluttered. I guess that's kind of the point though, it's no longer up to the site owner to decide what people should talk about, it's up to the community itself.
That is going to be quickly ignored, nothing is going to stop the collapse of 4chan unless Moot heavily changes his position but that is highly unlikely
I looked it up and it's pretty much all "there's no way we're going to stop after the shit SJW pulled" now.
I wonder what the context of that is, because originally that was from a talk about making sure you were getting paid as a design freelancer. Good video btw.
Video unavailable for me. Do they play neo-nazi music or do the Hitlergruß or something?

Think of it like the subreddits, you've got the defaults like r/pics and r/funny (/b/ & /a/), but also mcuh smaller, focused subreddits like r/film or r/travel (/trv/ & /film/).
Someone is doing the Daily Gamergate videos to sum up the day
"[...] don't just say 'oh a thing happened' and give me a screenshot [UNINTELLIGIBLE] [...]" *ahem*
The way I see it, the Japanese devs are probably clueless concerning what's going on right now.
That's because jap devs don't care the slightest to politics&social issues in the first place and just make games. It's already a big waste of time to try to debate and reasonate with zealots/betas, so you can bet your money japs are not going to bother to open that can of worms, considering how workaholic they can be. Also different culture yadda yadda. Kinda like you'd expect from french people to be pretty chill about erotic/sexual stuff & porn (except for a few individuals like MaxofS2D for unknown reasons) [sp]japan + france stronk 4 lyf[/sp]

does anyone have the la resistance cover that someone put on vocaroo that pertains to this? for some reason I want to listen to it again [editline]22nd September 2014[/editline] never mind found it http://vocaroo.com/i/s0P4uW4rGk2y
I hope Game Informer doesn't collapse in on itself. I actually like their articles and Replays.
Not quite sure how to tell you this but the only reason GI exists is because they're shills for GameStop, period. The site and mag are 100% in GS's pocket. They're about as objective as Nintendo Power was.
Did the people that contacted Valve (because of IGF sponsorship) ever get any sort of response?
Valve is not going to make any statement about this.
Valve is not going to make any statement about this.
Valve should make a statement, and a statement about the crap they're letting through greenlight.
Valve is not going to make any statement about this.
Makes sense. If Valve makes a statement and alienates either side of the conflict, they may end up losing up to 2% of their daily income by next month. That's a loss that I don't think anyone can cope with.

I just hope they quietly pull their support from IGF, if nothing else.
It'd be incredibly smart for Valve and its employees to not have any input in this ordeal at all
Makes sense. If Valve makes a statement and alienates either side of the conflict, they may end up losing up to 2% of their daily income by next month. That's a loss that I don't think anyone can cope with.
Most large business can deal with a 2% income loss considering a lot of these businesses deal with a high net profit ratio (Net profit/Sales * 100). Take Apple for example who deals with a physical inventory has a 21.6% NPR. Valve who has a mainly fixed costs in terms of their expenses (servers, wages) since they don't carry a physical inventory (they pay when a copy of game sold rather than holding stock of games or holding or manufacturing physical goods) may potentially have a higher NPR and the fact that Valve makes more per employee (2011) than most tech companies.
Is there anyone who has piled the evidence that there is corruption in the game journalists? I know the evidence exists, but it kind of needs to be in a place where everyone can find it. Screenshots, tweets, etc. Anything involving tie-ins with certain people and so forth.
The whole thing I have right now is a 100MB file (admittedly to attaching some files, and not only evidence for one side though), and it's really complicated and incomplete. You can't just put something that huge into one image, you basically need a 3 hour documentary series to even come close to touching upon everything that's been uncovered. I'd really like to write a software platform for collaborative sleuthing, but that's a huge project that would take months and more perseverance than I have to complete and also is fairly complicated to make usable and raid-proof.
Update: got banned from two random SRS subs I haven't posted on in awhile. They're just removing me from the whole damn network: [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/ncXDzTG.png[/thumb]
This is just proof you're famous. You've grown too big and they don't like that.
