The Sj movement as Tumblr and other nests have expressed itself in the last year is nothing but bandwagoning and armchair sociology majors (hi max) expressing identical intolerance and vitriol to the causes they supposedly hope to contain or eradicate. The easiest, easiest indicator to tell is to follow a particular issue, and when you see it get resolved, they express no satisfaction nor pontificate the ramifications of their "side" winning or gaining a new perspective, beccause they haven't actually thought that far. They just continue to spew screechy pulpit sermons about how everyone but their clique is in the wrong, and they pretty much imply their philosophy is free from both bias and flaws, and anyone who points out as such is obviously aligned with [I]them[/I]. Luckily the simplest way to deal with people like that is refute their flawed arguments and then go on your way, leaving them to smell their own bullshit by themselves. Remarkably effective. As for game journalism collusion, greed is one of the most powerful motivators there is, and few people are strong enough to resist when the entire industry support the practices thereof openly.
