I have a friend in game journalism he actually gives a shit about fact checking and being objective so game journalism is not non existent its just behind all the king shits who keep a stranglehold on the media.

The fact that moot literally compromised everything he's said in relation to his previous statements at cons and meetups shows where 4chan's consideration is. Gamers neither need nor should use 4chan as any kind of springboard. The other side has already shown you cannot groupthink your way out of this. You don't owe anyone anything simply because you happen to peruse a rip-off of a japanese site in your spare time. This issue was never about 4chan to begin with and has already passed 4chan quite sometime ago. 4chan is a platform, and that platform can be built anywhere. This a hell of a lot bigger than "muh nostalgias", this about the future of the main form of storytelling and entertainment amongst technologically aware human beings and the manipulation of the western world's largest game production entities and their consumers for social and political reasons. 4chan is simply a reflective element of that, no more no less.
