How many does Tyrone even earn from those videos?
He uses Fiverr, so at minimum $5. I know he does charge more for props or other specifications, but supposedly at reasonable prices.
didnt they recommend a game coming out in 2015 or am i thinking of someone else?
Yeah, they pulled the recommendation after TB called them out on it on twitter.
Im not sure why but I was very put off by what Emma Watson was saying. I especially didn't like that part where she mentioned that men should be feminists for their children.
I wish I was able to better explain myself.

on both sides? have pro GG people been doxing? I havent seen anything on that. The pro GG people have been very reserved and well behaved throughout this whole ordeal.
They probably aren't pro GG but I'm talking about the Zoe Quinn, Phil Fish and Anita Doxxings, like I said that was probably just some dumbass anon.

Actually he uses this: https://secure.jotformeu.com/dignity14/TyroneVideos
if anything 4chan would probably be for the he for she campaign because it doesnt treat men like shit.
Enough people fled to 8chan that Alexa started to track its traffic, so who knows at this point.
geoff did nothing wrong
In all honesty did he really do anything wrong?
To my knowledge by the time Doritos gate happened he wasnt a journalist anyways anymore. He was instead more of a presenter and host.
Doritos gate is still laughable but Geoff was just doing his job, as a presenter/host and I really dont think theres anything wrong being paid for that. I think it was they were just so fucking stupid how they presented that whole thing.
Unless im wrong and he is still a journalist.
he hasn't really done anything 'wrong' that we know of, but he's still pretty hard to take seriously. it's like his whole personality is fully ign (is he ign? i forget) without a real man behind it. the human embodiment of a corporation.
He, at the time he was EiCoT at GT, aka head of reporting for his section, so yes, he did do something wrong.
That's the entire thrust of the uproar.
Saying "Well it's game journalism, it's not "real" journalism" shouldn't be on the choices on the tick box. Gaming should not be politicized, and a cadre of people who've appointed themselves gatekeepers of content, especially what is news and what is not, and whether or not an article can be pre-editorialized by committee before it's even created.
If someone did this in sports, or for say cars, it would be minor national headlines and people would be already fired posthaste.

By the way, did a write-up on SRD about my experiences with SRSGaming. Feel free to check it out (just make sure not to get shadowbanned!)

NPR uses Ars Technica and Sutra as most of the sources in their game articles, not really much of a surprise.
What is TW activism?

Trigger Warning
Trigger Warning activism.
I actually began a major conversation on TW's in universities across the United States, if not the entire West. My article sparked all the discussions we had in the New York Times, BBC, Guardian, Wall Street Journal, etc etc.
I'm pretty sure all the SRSmods have done is enabled abusers and ban people that don't agree with their personal view of SJ. Whatever, I'm doing something 10x more meaningful.

king of pol is live with becca, talking about the people who have written for digra.
edit: so someone from the NSA just sent photos of his badges and portfolio to king of pol to prove he's from the NSA, and wants to talk on stream.
Damnit, want to listen to these streams but I'm always in class when or starts.
oh boy I'm gonna need an update on how that went
it didnt. pol is going to share the info with his group before going forward. he was very convinced it was legit, considering what he was shown.

It's like they're just selecting any game and just writing something quickly, and move onto the next game. https://archive.today/4Te5I
Here's a little something for you guys. I've been helping out a couple of publishers lately with the marketing and community work for their games. I was talking to someone from a publisher I've been working with recently about the whole gamergate thing.
Basically in this chat log we're talking about how IGN did a video on our game, and they loved it, however someone else did the written review and personally didn't like the game, so gave the game a low score. Afterwards is a bit about RPS, which you all might find interesting, if not obvious by now. I've censored out our names, and our games just in case.
Edit: I can't stop the image I posted from being thrown about, but I was just asked to not disclose anything more. Sorry.

Those last three messages is what interests me the most. More info on all that would be awesome.

The recording mentioned in the last message would be killer.

Community managers.
I thought Daniel Matros of ea.uk was bad back in BF3 days. But this is something else.
And that's fucking given that "community manager" more often than not is a glorified admin of the forums.
