The "boys club" traditionally referred to the industry and it's marketing techniques more than the actual consumer base itself. It reflected the fact that women were (and, to a much lesser extent, are) a tiny part of the development process and marketing demographic.

I can't find any context for it. Out of the blue 4 hours after a previous tweet.
He retweeted a AGG tweet, 4 hours pass by, he posts "Oh for fuck sakes" which is refering to a tweet about Bush, and then this.

As stated before, these people just complain and earn money off of complaining, it's been happening for a long time. If they [I]really[/I] cared about the issue, they would give money to more female developers in order to encourage them and prevent this. Instead they use their money to buy games to "research them" and buy expensive camera equipment and resources to complain to a broader audience.
I honestly have never cared about females in videogames, of course I think bikini armor and stuff is stupid and obvious "sex-sells" schemes, but it's not really that huge of an issue as these people make it out to be. They can honestly just make their own games, and [I]not[/I] games that are just complaints in videogame form.
By that logic, anti-Gamergate is also toxic.

Giving them money directly as a member of the press is a bad idea.
Giving good reviews as well.
If you meant give money to an organization like tfyc that'll fund women then I apologize and you're right.
I think we should make a path for ourselves, just spitball a moderate course then write / draw it, see if anyone could follow our lead and then try our best to do it.
Something with broad, easily respectable guidelines.

Pro Bono means for free/severely reduced payment. The judge would have to fuck up pretty damn hard for a lawyer to offer the rest of his work Pro Bono based solely off the Judge's behaviour. :v:

Apart from the Eron case (which isn't looking very good), I can't imagine a satisfying 'win' scenario, if there is one.
It probably won't look 'good', but one thing we might be able to do is simply ignore GamerGate all together. Look forward. Now that I think about it, what do I care if people support aloof Social Justice Developers and Social Justice Narrators, and such like? As long as the [I]good[/I] games are being supported else where in the magnitude they deserve, I don't care what those other people do.
Basically, it's that poverty vs equality argument. Does equality matter if no one lived in poverty? If good developers are getting good support, monetary and recognition, from gamers, if by YouTubers or guerrilla journalism, does it matter if other jerks are getting coverage by the likes of Kotaku and Polygon? It's not fair, but I hope it won't matter.
Not to say that the abuse aspect of LW's scandal should be ignored. Abuse is always wrong, and I can only hope that Eron gets the justice he deserves.
