Federal agencies have their own security services that only turn over investigation to the FBI if there is a credible terrorism or espionage risk. The threat of espionage prosecution he's referring to also requires a credible case that the accused was attempting to make him vulnerable to foreign intelligence services, and he'd have a hard time proving that his identity is at risk when he's openly discussing his clearance and USG affiliation on social media. Revealing a TS clearance on the Internet makes him vulnerable for exploitation, and if anything I suspect he may receive a talking-to from the DoD's internal security.

He has also clarified that he is not joking, and would drown his own children in the bath if he had some and certain prerequisites were met. The first clarification means that calling him a murderer is objectively false, while the second clarification is a child protection services investigation waiting to happen.
