News is that Totalbiscuit survived the surgery.
Did people really think he was going to die or something? Even he said he wasn't too worried about it.
Hold up.
It's been two months?

So, someone posted my Flounce article on /r/GamerGhazi in order to talk about abuse and the original Zoepost. And the good faith discussion was deleted and all the comments nuked.

Ones in pink were deleted by mods.
Phil is full of shit and likes to manipulative social justice language for their own gain.
Yet the post by an SRS admin calling me manipulative and full of shit still remains.
The Verge has a new article up about gamergate.
https://archive.today/WggKP
Removed every bookmark and feed from them.
I am honestly not surprised ,SRS bans dissent ,criticism is necessary for every group.

Well, that reddit is explicitly created as circlejerk though. Posting objective content is off-topic :suicide:

It's really upsetting. The OP was immediately banned, too, and when they tried to talk about their experiences as a survivor - this happened:

That link still gives them pageviews ⇒ archive.today ([editline]edit[/editline] sane layout but no images on archive.org)
Holy shit, that's possibly the worst one yet. At least it's grounds for many angry emails.

Apparently nobody on the internet has heard of talking issues out.

Tbh he's trying to push reimu's post into an anti-gg equivalent of the ofiy. There was nothing else to be expected.
Speaking of which, I might be going to KotakuInAction for an AMA! Unsure though, but I'm veering towards it.
I always knew Reddit was a fucking joke of a place, but I didn't actually expect it to be so bad that the mods are just handing out bans in their subreddits like no tomorrow just for disagreeing.
I don't think anybody ever has the right to complain about FP being a circlejerk when sites like Reddit feed that exact behaviour to an incredible extent.
Ironically, I think it's FPs banhappy nature that precludes that level of circlejerk.

I think its because FP mods only really do objective bans (flaming, raiding, etc) and that the mod team seems to be a group of people picked because they're good at it (minus craptasket and the now defunct maxofs2d) and not because either A: they were the first to make a subreddit with the name "/r/gaming" or "/r/shitredditsays" or B: they are friends with the guy from A
Well one good thing to come out that is this.

Dear God, that's dripping with so much condescension and bullshit. Her points have merits, her argument, her attitude and everything else about her need to be shunted into the trash, shunted by like a Micheal Jackson kick.

so where did that emailsherlock thing go?
I've got like 20 tweets lol. I wish I was popular enough to be doxed.

fun fact, I was once banned for referencing (or having the flash file it's been years) "you are a pirate" song in a thread about the pirate bay and the reason for banning was supporting piracy. The admin or mod got removed years ago.

I can't watch it yet unless I am drunk, have a security blanket, 20 feet from tables, and someone to hold me down with smoothing hugs or I'm going to table flip a table I flipped into mid air.
I managed to get silent-banned from r/SRSGaming with a single non-inflammatory post :downs:

Just expect people to shoot you down if you try to derail this towards your trigger warning stuff.

Link me to bias ban

That's pretty funny, I wasn't picked to make robot bans. Subjective bans are part of the job too.

It's impossible to prove anything, so nowhere.

Also, the fact that most bans, except permabans are not meant as punishment or to silence people, but the bans themselves are the warnings, not the punishment or a means to silence anyone, unless you're a spammer or a serial serious dumbass, which is practically the same thing.

Oh hey, that's the one who most likely silent-banned me.
High-five ✋

In terms of moderation? Certainly not. In terms of member discussion? The only difference between here and Reddit (barring the obvious layout differences) is that Facepunch isn't built around a ratings system that allows unpopular comments to sink to the bottom of a by-default and widely supported method of tiering posts that encourages groupthink and discourages conflict and opposing ideas outside of very specific subreddits that are actually moderated.
Every message board can be a circlejerk because every conversation with more than two people can devolve into a circlejerk. Facepunch included. But Reddit is far worse because it actively propagates and encourages it's members to bully unpopular ideas and exemplify that status quo.

That was an enjoyable watch, she definitely likes speaking in front of people.
(I'm entirely serious.)
You can tell she's very much pandering to her audience, in the parts where she calls for action of some kind.
I'm not doubting she's hurt by the harassment though, unlike with Jayd3Fox that comes through clearly.

Uberslug went a little crazy in the RO thread a few days ago though.

FP hasn't been banhappy for years. I have no idea why people still act like not being banned is hard. Hell, with half the shit I say I'm surprised I somehow haven't been banned in more than three years.
