Anything being said to the people from GG bothering gaymerx that's not how we conduct ourselves ,they are allowed to be neutral.

I think they should be neutral if anything. How can they side with the anti GG crowd if they're supposed to be "gaymerx" when anti-gg put out the "gamers are dead" articles. I hope it doesn't take years to fix all of this.

What Gaymerx believes could be entirely different from their public stance I'm doubting they want to be pulled into this mess. We should put together just some general guidelines, don't fox ,don't harass extra and pass it around.

Looks like totalbiscut has been receiving death threats while in hospital, while being treated/recovering for cancer no-less. [editline]a[/editline] Anyway one of the admins on Wikipedia said they were going to bring the article up next possible moment since all it is atm is an activist war.

Not really anything to do with GG but didn't that episode air nearly a decade ago?I guess the SJW crowd has been around longer than I ,thought well the ones who thrive on attacking others that is.

I really need to stop keeping myself updated on GamerGate. It's like I see a new form of hateful ignorance from the anti-GG crowd and it just completely sours my day knowing that these people exist and honestly believe their bullshit. I mean, seeing this kind of stuff used to be funny, it was like "ha, look at those hypocrites, how can these buttmunches exist?" But now that they're waging an active culture war on my hobby purely because a couple of asshats happen to share said hobby with me, it's just upsetting that there are so many people who seem willing to swallow their bullshit. I honestly can't see how this will ever end on a positive note, but it's long overdue for an ending period. This whole thing has gone on too long.

Honestly, I think the real issue for the movement right now is just that everyone has become so passive. Its basically turned in to exactly what the agg crowd wants. People have gotten afraid that something could be misconstrued or misinterpreted so a lot people are switching to basically saying nothing at all. So a lot is just getting unseen, unheard, and missed completely. We can't win the fight because we've basically stopped fighting. Not given up, just stopped fighting and instead are content to just watch at this point and feel afraid of what might be said. TFYC is done, so that is no longer a source to easily win people over and convince others, there are however plenty of other sources that can be contributed to and supported to show people the real story. GaymerX isn't done just yet, you can absolutely contribute to something like it, its hard to say the people you are fighting are just bigots if they keep helping charities and organizations for minorities. Hell, you could probably find someone who could speak on behalf of GG at an event like that. Contacting advertisers is great, but that will only go so far and it won't be quick. You'll lose most of your support and energy by the time anything truly meaningful happens there. So you have to keep actually fighting. We're all too damned content and passive right now.

We're tweeting at each other and a couple journalist/devs? Hurray, that will only get us so far, and most of that will be cherry picked to hell and back anyway, same as before. We need to actively be doing things, not just sitting around waiting. We're so goddamn content to not act. People need to be out finding new ways to spread awareness of the movement and the subject. Not just feeling sorry for ourselves because GaymerX said they don't support us or just feeling furious indignation because someone said something mean. We can't speak to the same audience they are through the same channels they do, they control those or they just won't work. We don't have the majority of gaming journalism in our pocket, so we can't use it to bring awareness. And if we go through twitter, they have access to it just as we do, and we can easily be blocked and ignored, and such a direct approach just goes back to making everyone feel harassed. So we have to find other approaches. We need to approach other movements and groups, ones that share similar notions such as opposition to abuse in relationships, journalistic ethics, anti-corruption, things of that nature. Get their help with this, just don't go around touting to everyone, "Hey, we're gonna go get this group on our side!" otherwise the agg crowd will use that to counteract out efforts and spread the same misinformation they have been before.
