She's now on CNN it seems. IA is warning us all about the soundbyte cycling that will follow. You know, the specific parts where it does not make any sense but is completely in line with their point of view.
Holy shit that commenter's voice. How did CNN hire someone with that voice :v:
NO idea, also. I fucking switched to firefox.
See, this is the unintended side-effect of it hitting mass media. Right now, they've controlled the show and what people hear. But ultimately when it gets to mass media, they will talk to other people outside indie devs and journalists. We just have to actually get people out there for them to talk to. This goes back to what I've been saying about just sitting around. We've been fighting the fights on their terms, waiting for them to do something first, only responding to what they do. We've just been working with the battlegrounds they give us. They're the ones making the most effort to get their message out their, so of course their message gets heard the most.
But now we have an opportunity to get it to more people than ever before. We can call them directly on this shit. We just need to push people to actually get involved and speak about the movement. Try to persuade Total Biscuit, he's a massively popular Youtuber and a fairly big name in gaming. Try to persuade Erik Kain given how he has recently taken a liking to the movement, he's a writer for Forbes. Try to persuade Archon. He is one of the founders of Escapist magazine, he is a serious figure, people will listen to him. And he supports the movement while also insuring his publication itself treats the matter ethically.
And even then there is nothing to stop just any of us just sending emails to these places. Send them to HuffPo and other publications, send them to NBC, send them to CNN, eventually a few people will get through to them. We have the power of numbers on our side, and we've a lot of evidential backing on our side. They're hard to argue with.
is the other stream up somewhere on VOD? I didnt get to see hotwheels fire those shots.
Andrew confirmed for gangsta/10

Dude, download Firemin, Firefox can have massive memory leaks. I am using it and it helps my firefox not detonate from taking too much ram space.
It optimizes firefox and allows you to allocate memory for it yourself. Do you want me to PM it?

Found the download page. For anyone interested in fixing Firefox memory leaks, this is for you.

hopefully someone will put it on yt for a more permanent source.
This stream is so satisfying man.
Kotaku in CNN. What.
Culture war

Yeah they found just the perfect people, right?
[editline]14th October 2014[/editline]
Fuck, we can't have death threats. Shit.
Yeah well we knew it's gonna happen. Both sides committed this kind of stuff, but they were the first ones to complain loud.
Just out of curiosity, did any reviewers subtract points from GTA V for the extremely violent, graphic, and sadistic segment where you were forced to torture an innocent man and it was played for laughs?
Any updates about the CNN situation? No where near a TV at the moment.
Any updates about the CNN situation? No where near a TV at the moment.
was very short, was just a kotaku guy claiming it's all about misogyny and harassment and then it ended. The huffpost stream was much funnier and more interesting because they let them talk at least a bit.

I vaguely remember something like that, but I don't remember where... and if it happened at all.

I don't remember it being played for laughs, and people did bring it up, but I don't think anyone took points off for it. Hell the only review I remember reading from a major outlet that gave it a mixed review was the escapist and I think that was more along the lines of protagonists being bad people. Can't read the reviews right now at school because of fucking webblocker.

The achievements you got for the segment were basically puns and jokes about torture.

I don't remember stuff like achievements. I just remember the game doing everything in its power to make you feel uncomfortable.
Okay so I haven't been paying attention for the last week, anyone wanna catch me up?
Hotwheels is doing an AMA on KiA for anyone that cares.
I still can't believe every news-site IGNORES the EXACT same deaththreats being made against people on the pro-side, both with equal amounts of evidence. (random tweets, check. Emails, check. unverifiable phone calls, check.)

The huffpost video actually started out very well and admitted that both sides have been getting death threats, doxxing, harassment and job losses.

Intel UAT backed out, bayo hit polygon gives it a 7.5 just because he said it was degrading towards women because she's sexual yet has ties (forget the details) to suicide girls. Boogie made a video saying please love eachother and it won't be resolved if people throw stuff back, just ignore it.... boogie trying to be loving and passive as possible gets banned from neogaf. (this I can be wrong) Briana Wu makes a meme to make fun of people I believe at 8chan using an autistic child, she get's backlash and gets twitter harassment. She then blames 8chan for everything, Milo asks her to come on, she backs out of milo's stream (even when he gave her questions before hand which she could choose) on the day of the stream after or about msnbc segment shows up.
There's stuff I'm probably missing

"Random Joe gets death threats, for supporting "harassment movement"", doesn't get as many views as "Woman dares stand against "harassment movement" gets death threats".
Plus news companies will generally take the side of their peers because it's easier than doing reserach.

So by being loud and obnoxious you show how intelligent and informed you are. The only thing right about it is that she was dominating, but for all the wrong reasons.
I never really bothered reading the reactions in Twitter, but this is oddly infuriatingly amusing.

From the GTA Wiki's section on Gold Medal-ing the mission you're talking about;
◾Don't Stop Me Now - Complete without [sp]Mr. K's[/sp] heart stopping.
◾Electrocutioner - Electrocute [sp]Mr. K.[/sp]
◾The Tooth Hurts - Pull out [sp]Mr. K's[/sp] tooth.
◾Wrenched - Hit [sp]Mr. K[/sp] with the wrench.
◾It's Legal! - Waterboard [sp]Mr. K.[/sp]
Spoiler tags for those who haven't played the game.
if someone told me two months ago this bullshit would actually show up on the news I'd had called them a liar
if someone told me two months ago this bullshit would actually show up on the news I'd had called them a liar
Really I figured it would be sooner than it is now. Most of the outlets will just run with the stories as told by other people and reap the benefits if they think it can stir enough shit.
man they really let brianna go on and on and only let everyone else about 5 or 6 sentences in.
the moderator also said that calling literally who a liar was harassment, like what isn't harassment anymore.
