Jesus Christ, I want a downloadable version of this KingofPol stream after it's done. They've got an anonymous video game dude on and he's given out insider views on Simcity, Megaman, rushed sequels in general, Mass Effect, EA games, Metroid Prime, Japanese markets and companies compared to American ones, Nintendo... pretty much everything. Not all of it is related directly to GG, but it's a hell of an interesting info dump.
He's on Hitbox, right? I wonder if I can pull that with JDownloader...
Can anyone tell what this is ? -image snipped-
Looks like a post on 8chan.
They give it for every project so it could be anything from Office to the XBox [editline]woo[/editline] <3 automerge
It's a long term problem that's developed with condemning people. The movement associated itself with being against doxxing because it was much smaller then and the opposition was legitimately doxxing more often. But now because it's become so big, people are exploiting the crap out of their anonymity and becoming an uncontrollable mess. There's no point in condemning the doxxing anymore because it just makes us look like hypocrites, it's a matter of just pushing through until we get results.
I think it's more important to get it out there that we are not a corporation here. We got no leaders, no uniform. Literally anyone can call himself a GG-supporter and then make a threat, or doxx someone publicly. Sadly it's evidently very hard to make it known, so the moment we stop loudly condemning heinous activity, we effectively confirm that we are, in fact, pieces of shit. Yeah it might make us all look like hypocrites, but only to people who already have preconceptions against GG. At this point, we're not changing anyone's mind. We haven't got required resources. [editline]15th October 2014[/editline]
Can anyone tell what this is ? -pic-
It's pretty cool how every so often when everyone feels down, we get something that gives even just a vaguest little hint of hope.

What I find most ironic with anti gamergate is people weaponizing minorities. Then in the same breath they hate allies in LGBT. They are doing the exact same shit.
Oh okay, also Burch is confirmed for cuckold.: http://i.gyazo.com/52416844e31a18c22a9b1deec905393e.png
That's not...love.
I suggest you look at his post history extensively here before coming to a conclusion, it's a pretty straightforward pattern of passive-aggressive posting with little interest in topic exploration in any meaningful way.
I suggest we should not try to put ourselves in shoes we don't fit in. Because we can't really know. However I have some assumptions: He was probably very scared of the fact that he had a one sided discussion in the first place (Excluding himself, nobody was able to present arguments to the table), and that clearly bothered him. That's all. He is not there to inject his thoughts on the matter. He is there to be a middle man and promote rational discourse without too much slander. But you could also say he's scared of the progressiveness because he did not defend Fred when Brianna clearly called Hotwheels an idiot. So, I don't think we should say anything about the guy. He's just doing his job and he needs to hold to certain standards and appear as neutral as possible to not set up the table in flames. I know this sounds like I'm putting myself in his shoes, what I said I suggest we won't do, but what I mean by this is effectively not put ourselves in his shoes and point fingers at them. As far as I am concerned, he is doing an okay job of publicizing the movement and giving room for all* sides to sit down and have the debate unearth facts and lessons that can be learned. Not that I think personally anything can be learned from the side that speaks in the same manner as Brianna, But that's his role and he should not be blamed for it. Feel free to correct me, and remember, I do not have time to always dive in as hard to the subject as you do.
That's not...love.
Doesn't mean people can't convince themselves that it is. I can easily believe both parties of that... relationship? - may think that they love each other, but it's "some other kind of love, a difficult one to explain". I feel a bit sorry for the guy. Shit's terrible, and he's evidently far too weak to deal with it.
Oh my god, if the true ending to mass effect 3 was killed to fund damage control. There should be an operation to open channels. I wish I could ask him the question if he hear about the anti arrangement pledge that was sent for game devs to sign around the time of Anita and zoe being being twitter attacked.

When you go on a date with a guy, you expect him to make some moves. That's not only what society expects of us, it's what basic biology and psychology expects of us.
Oh shit, I might have caused a huge misunderstanding. I meant to give the reporter slack. Uh.
Bwu is going to be on CNN and cbs from what I'm told via KOP stream, link? (If it's online)

Hell, it's very common that people who are not really into open relationships agree to this stuff to give some freedom to their CO, and then they feel like shit about themselves for not fucking around. Sorta like "what kind of weak shit am I, I agreed to it without really wanting it, why did I even do that?" Then they go and try to justify their decision (more like, lack thereof) by sort of trying to fuck around, but it universally becomes a trainwreck.
Oh my god, if the true ending to mass effect 3 was killed to fund damage control. There should be an operation to open channels. I wish I could ask him the question if he hear about the anti arrangement pledge that was sent for game devs to sign around the time of Anita and zoe being being twitter attacked.
It was. I know this for a fact, not a supposition. When I said people would be leaving BW after their next four projects are done, I'm doing so being very certain this will not change. People were able to get this information before the game was done because it was leaked for that reason. People have been leaving for these reasons. There's a very clear web of extremely hurtful issues, and social engineering is one aspect out of four, the literal engineering of games to meet and match agendas is another, and I'm not talking about making the game more palatable to casual or incidental customers or changing a character's ethnicity or sexuality to be more inclusive to recognized fans, I'm talking about racketeering-level collusion and deliberate steering to meet both shareholder expectations and outside journalist presentation concerns. It's not just indie games. One thing that's been lost in this particular venue at the current time is that electronic gaming makes the MOST money of any entertainment venue on planet earth. The most. If you think that there aren't people out there trying to control that kind of revenue/marketshare and the social implications/ramifications with extreme investment in their own agendas, you're probably going to be very sad when this all said and done.
he had a one sided discussion in the first place (Excluding himself, nobody was able to present arguments to the table), and that clearly bothered him. That's all. He is not there to inject his thoughts on the matter.
He's literally fought against this entire forum on a point he refused to concede or when trying to get people to see things his way, you'll forgive me if I'm rather skeptical about his need to pick and choose in this particular venue. (full disclosure: I have done the same) [editline]15th October 2014[/editline]
The weird part is that he's in an "open relationship" with his wife. Had an interesting discourse with an anti gg friend of mine. Surprise surprise, they removed me. Here is screencaps. I know its not an amazing contribution, but it does show how quickly these people are quick to censor, despite supposedly being against censorship. Dude I was talking about THE REPORTER in the HuffPost. Not a facepuncher. At this rate I do not know if I contribute to the conversation.
I believe I've read some lengthy article somewhere that explained that sort of stuff. Don't remember where, but it was something about how women shouldn't be "slut-shamed" because they can do what they want and shouldn't be judged in society based on her looks or sexual behavior, and when it comes to women characters in media, it's different. You see, media is a male-dominated field, so it only serves male interests, and when a female character is shown as "slutty" (which means anything between "short skirt" and "actual whore"), it's pandering to creators and male audience. Which is the whole point of concept of "objectification". In short: women are not created by dirty men and can do what they want; female characters in media are created by dirty men (or internalized misogynists), have no personality of their own (which is a given) and as such, should abide by some... ruleset or whatever. Doesn't sound all that convincing to me, but here goes. My take on the issue, based on shit I barely remember.
But it all falls to pieces when they try to attack Bayonetta for sexism.

"You're scared of feminism!" and "they're not YOUR games, your little boy club is over!" No one ever said something like this. It comes out of people all the time with no provocation. [editline]15th October 2014[/editline]
But it all falls to pieces when they try to attack Bayonetta for sexism.
Most notably, yeah. But upon closer look, it almost always doesn't seem to be the case in any media but porn (which is its own can of worms...)
What's up with the same arguments being repeated over and over again. "You're scared of feminism!" and "they're not YOUR games, your little boy club is over!" Note that "You're scared of feminism!" and "they're not YOUR games, your little boy club is over!" aren't actual arguments, they are assertions. Coming up with an argument against something takes effort so it's easier to just assert something about your opponents argument.

I just fucking hate how journalists are handling it. (Discussion is switching to about us again.. better make another death threat/gamers are dead/person being abused/your all misogynists article..!) Everyone needs to shut up about feminism and start focusing on the obvious corruption.
