Oh god, just saw CBS this morning and I see Anita Sarkeesian talking about how Gamergate is a movement made to oppose feminism and basically implied were all males who hate inclusiveness. They also had a quick word from Brianna Wu. It was short but extremely biased where they never even mentioned games journalism. That's how manipulative people like Anita work I suppose, they'd rather have everyone listening and believing their fabricated story about the movement.
Disgusting. Sometimes the amount of retardness in people's blood is disgusting.
Does anyone also have any evidence that GG is deep rooted and the whole journalism/sjw thing is affecting the industry? Like I know Anita got hired for things but I can't quite find proper sources.
Are people sharing this massive picture on twitter and to the AGG side(Don't know if they should do it to the AGG side considering they might spin it)?
Goon indirectly admits that the Anita shooting threat was their doing. http://archive.today/fS6H8 They aren't terribly bright.
Relatedly here are the follow-ups by the university: http://www.usu.edu/ust/index.cfm?article=54178 http://www.usu.edu/ust/index.cfm?article=54179 http://www.usu.edu/ust/index.cfm?article=54180 They confirm there was no danger to anyone regarding the threat, and that security measures had been taken to an extent in accordance with state law. There were no recent grounds for cancellation of the event, and they make it fairly clear they are disappointed in Sarkeesian. (Very politely of course.) Word on the street is that ZQ might sue IA too. Which would be incredibly stupid to do, but it is ZQ....
Word on the street is that ZQ might sue IA too. Which would be incredibly stupid to do, but it is ZQ....
I haven't watched the videos in a long time but I remember they did struck me as brittle when they would be the subject of a courtroom.
A court case between Internet Aristocrat and Zoe Quinn would be the messiest fucking thing ever.
When it comes to the videos, with my very limited understanding currently of the situation, I believe he will lose in some way or another, and not lightly. Anyone willing to pitch in on this?
Really? That's going to be a mess. I'm not surprised though, especially because the Five Guys joke would be an easy target for pinning IA. Either way, glad that she's not going after me.

I don't know. But I can see how IA's video content could be weaponized against him in court, including the Five Guys jokes
Word on the street is that ZQ might sue IA too. Which would be incredibly stupid to do, but it is ZQ....
Doesn't IA have legitimate aristocratic connections? Or am I misremembering from when he got sort of doxxed by a mod on halfchan
hey yknow, when you tout yourself as a strong female, and then allow yourself to be censored by vague internet threats, it probably means youre just a shit and maybe you dont believe your message is at all important
I don't know. But I can see how IA's video content could be weaponized against him in court, including the Five Guys jokes
Yeah, but if you don't have any charge to base it on in the first place, it means jack shit.
All this mainstream media coverage is getting out of hand, and nobody seems to be willing to give anyone from GG a voice. It's not gonna change anything, all it does is entrench GamerGaters further. It's not gonna change until the yellow journalism finally goes away, but that would be a little too much to expect from the American press.

That's not all, he suggested making a game about a produce business with microtransactions going in part to produce related charities. People are on it.
Tweet hate to someone that isn't a game developer? Oh that's perfectly fine. We will just turn them into game developers, ON OUR SIDE.
This is legally problematic, but such a nasty burn I'm not going to leave it unposted: (image source) (I think it's been deleted since but I saw almost all of it happen live on my phone.)
Says the nerd.
These idiots don't seem to realize gamergate probably would have settled down on its own if they just kept their fat fucking mouths shut. Go ahead, keep fanning the flames. We'll laugh that much harder once your ivory tower catches fire.
I'm not convinced that Brianna Wu faked her death threats, but I'm sure everything she posted beforehand was intended to provoke with the goal of getting a death threat, which she had already planned to overreact to (saying it "drove her out of her home" and leaving for 2 hours) and gain the publicity and media coverage she wanted (because how else would she get the word out about her game, it looks fucking terrible.) With Anita or Zoe it's somewhat debatable whether they're deliberately giving the threats they get more attention to further their own goals, but with Brianna Wu it's so obvious it hurts. Look at all the publicity and interviews she's getting that she wouldn't have even been thought of for if she hadn't been "driven from her home by death threats".
Süddeutsche.de (website of a German daily newspaper that's not quite a tabloid) ran the bomb threat story: Tod und Spiele ("death and games"): https://archive.today/s7kgZ https://archive.today/s7kgZ Naturally it's a hit-piece, but I think it's just blindly regurgitating stuff from US media and not actually intentionally malicious.

Not quite a tabloid is probably too harsh, Süddeutsche Zeitung is a big newspaper but it has a bit much cultural focus instead of just having headlines. Their online presence is more or less guaranteed to be a lot worse than the actual publication (much like how Spiegel Online is significantly more slanted than the Spiegel, but both of those are very reliable). [editline]16th October 2014[/editline]
I don't know. But I can see how IA's video content could be weaponized against him in court, including the Five Guys jokes
That depends entirely on how much of it is true. If she did sleep with them then he can say all he wants about that under US law afaik.
