Honestly, what the crap is a polite bot that discusses people uniting together going to do to you? Deliver the truth that deserves to be told that you are so afraid of hearing?
Owww....I grew up watching mister Rodgers. Also jesus that poor bot meant well with that tweet but it was so far from accurate.
Imagine if someone pro-GG said this.

Scrolling through and I came across this quote which sums up my gain from college education, which being factor in why I stand. (been labeled as a liberal education, but either IA or KOP but that's just anger then total blindness)
"Nothing that you will learn in the course of your studies will be of the slightest possible use to you in after life – save only this – if you work hard and diligently you should be able to detect when a man is talking rot, and that, in my view, is the main, if not the sole, purpose of education" -John Alexander Smith (wikipedia)
hope it inspires people besides the fact it's really great quote.

Ricky the guy from huff post when onto one of stream, most of the streamers sound dumb as hell and that's after he left and listening to the stream while reading comments.

Misogynist, slut-shaming and mentally ableist, all in one. What a fantastic example of a 'progressive' person fighting against abuse.
[editline]17th October 2014[/editline]
Looking at this again, I don't know what the intended purpose of this tweet actually was. This person's a douche anyway, no matter what they were trying to imply.

from new thunderfoot vid, but instead of commentary here's one source in full about the utah threat not being real.

Looking again at the tweet, I have no idea what the meaning of this actually is. I don't know if he's implying that female #Gamergate supporters aren't those things, or if he's just being rude.
fucking smegmaking
I've started thinking we need create some form of "network" to support gamergate. It would have its own website and social media accounts that would state its goal (and that it doesn't support harassment) and provide resources for people about GG. This way we can keep the momentum of GG while also distancing ourselves from harassment. It would also allow us to more clearly say that this "network" doesn't support harassment. In a way it would serve as the "leadership" of GG, except that everything on it would be entirely community run. I sort of like the name "GamerGate Alliance"
What do you guys think?
Centralizing GG somewhere would pose a great weakness. We've already seen what the other side is willing to do and at this point a "GG Alliance" site would probably be DDOS'd into oblivion. No one would be willing to host it due to the bandwidth usage.
There were two incidents, the fake-doxx-false-flag against wizzardchan (and maybe more) and the fulldox that was spammed on 8chan and combated by 8channers and Twitter users their called to help out.
[editline]17th October 2014[/editline]
Just seaching gamergate (not the hashtag!), then clicking all tweets gives you a good amount of uninformed people.
I've been giving out a few links and so far have a good success rate (in terms of them forming an own opinion, if they aren't misinformed but still disagree that's OK for me).
Just don't spam or dogpile them, if there are two others involved I won't and I (mostly) don't tweet more than twice without waiting for an answer.

remember the verify in trust and verify.
I'm terribly stressed out over my financial situation, and I'm having a hard time being the only vocal pro-GG person on my Facebook circle (which consists mostly of people in the Finnish game development scene). Seriously thinking about just giving up on trying to shed light on the whole thing on FB. If anyone wants to lend a hand, PM me your FB URL and I'll add the fuck out of you. If you don't want to give public support, that's cool too. I'd still like to add some like-minded people. I'm in serious need of some solidarity here. I feel like I'm shouting into the wind.
Here's the latest post (RE: This image) I'm struggling with replying to:
The rhetoric on both sides is too strongly emotionally affected to be plausible. So far the opposition has been able to argument more clearly and consistent, so the supporters look like raging kids when compared to them. There are too many contradictions in the stories, starting from the starting events, goals, methods etc, so it is impossible to choose a side.
Around the possibly good core of supporters has formed a loud minority of people having some really questionable campaigns against something completely different from journalism corruption critique (which should probably start from AAA publishers and their well-known questionable methods of requiring media to write certain things in reviews, prohibiting writing about others). All this makes me feel really dirty, and I would like to stay away from the whole mess.
It has gone beyond possibilities of control and meaning. Good job, though, on starting to clean the image of GamerGate by working against the harrassers on boards. Maybe at some point someone could help Sargon of Akkad with his really wonderful attempt to read through all the DiGRA papers, trying to provide DiGRA as feminist-marxist conspiracy.
Academics are not afraid, they are supporting the deeds, since academic work should be critically evaluated and if mistakes were found, they could be discussed in new papers of disagreement.
GOOD MORNING VIETNAM!

Thinking about the spirit of a great human being who was a gamer, if we are told to grow up let's grow up to be robin williams. Some before he died some people said his humor was dry and didn't pack a punch like a low blow, but I say his humor and compassion is exactly what we all need.

The reason you're having a hard time replying is because that person has said almost nothing concrete. He suggests a situation but doesn't seem to provide evidence verifying that it is the case. We have the events that caused GamerGate documented. What about it is implausible and where are the so-called contradictions? Go Socrates on his ass.
The GamerGate Thread OP in 8chan's /v/ is your friend. Revisit it when you get a chance. Arm yourself with knowledge.
A very TL;DR sample of some of what we have so far

They still were screaming in every possible place about how their numbers are legion and then some. Even though it was an accident.
It makes it funnier if anything.
As someone who is trying to learn more about this whole debacle, and someone who thinks sexism in the video game industry and community is a problem, but also someone open to the idea that corruption in gaming journalism is a problem, could someone just in a real short way lay out some information about how deep the corruption goes and exactly what evidence there is?
All I've been able to find from looking around just a little bit is a bunch of stuff about Zoe Quinn and Kotaku, things most sane people stay away from regardless, and people on both sides of the argument flinging shit like there's no tomorrow.
I've been trying to read a little bit about it, but at this point it just seems like there's so much information to go through, so I was just wondering if someone had the time to make a short summary or whatever.
This video sums up a small part, the part about the corruption in IndieCade and IGF:

I think there needs to be a very long video without pot shots through all the history so far for people not gamers wanting to take time to learn from hearing on the TV about this.
(I had examples but took it out because I got 30 different things people wouldn't understand beforehand)
I say this because, my dad asked me about gamergate after the pbs newshour he said "I need a break, it's been 35 minutes of you talking and the information your giving me is like trying to drink from a fire-hose on full bast."
Update on the community stream, it's happening on saturday 5pm EST. That's 11pm BST for britbongs.

8chan's /v/ always has a GamerGate thread where the OP is essentially that. Skim the OP, browse the links. It's all at your fingertips.
Here's the link to the current thread.

for a knockout blow for when anyone accuses us of doxxing. Not only do we actively prevent doxxing or harassment, those with us who pursue intellectual discussion on GamerGate get targeted by Anti-GGers
