question, do people believe that were is a dichotomy within gamergate supporters, or is it fractionally there in a sense. Instance, sargon talking about people under the flag as feminists, and reimu stating he dosen't believe digra is a threat. Are there distinguished camps or are people under the flag feminists movement which have influence in this ordeal in that you can't separate them from journalistic corruption.
There are clear influences from the feminists side, and because journalists are using them as a shield for the corruption allegations, they have a large role to play. It's hard to ignore them because the journalists are forcing them to take notice and combat it. See : Death threats on feminists, every journalist goes wild, death threats on anybody else, nobody bats an eye.
They only proof that will ever be accepted by both side is when you break into her place and film her doing it.
Not necessarily, there are other ways to obtain verifiable proof. So far we have only confirmed to be verifiable - 1. The image was made before October 10th, meaning either person was anticipating the death threats or she made it with the intention of planning to do this for promotion of her game/self person/movement. 2. The image creator and her use the same version of photoshop.
There are other instances of verifiable evidence we can find.
That image is pretty damning... text that mentions events that haven't happened at the time it was last modified? That's smoking gun, with fingerprints and owner's name written all over it. The scale of it, too. There must be quite some people involved, to push it all into mainstream media.
Screencaps won't convince anyone though, and they will continue to talk about how she was "driven out of her home".
I'm having a hard time reading words at the moment so I have to say need to be verified in the trust in the verified.

So if it's true and I'm reading this correctly, it wasn't a joke in bad taste.
Fairly blatant how this is just a plug for her game. It should be too obvious for any party to ignore. I don't understand why it looks the way it does either.

I posted earlier with the source image, you can get the metadata yourself (meaning it's impossible for them to say it was faked.) They are going to argue that the person who made it was the one who sent the death threats in the first place, because they were anticipating her reaction. However that doesn't explain how the image knew she was going to get a huge amount of attention, both ways.
The image is also a false-flag, simply by reading it you can tell it was written by someone with a very low grasp on internet culture, and it was posted without any support.
But yes, the events that the image is saying have NOT happened. It'll take an analysis from somebody who is an expert on the subject, though.
I have the image on my computer (from the source) so if the file goes missing just ask me for it.

For them, its just a tool that gives them an impenetrable shield to carry on with their behaviors.
Someone (not me) took the liberty to run it through archive.today. For some reason, archive.today only loads this image in chunks, so I had to refresh a few times, but here's an imgur mirror:
http://i.imgur.com/hulkmla.png
All EXIF data not included in that "quit your bullshit, Wu" tweet is lost however, as the 8chan link 404s now.
There is pretty much only one way to archive EXIF data: Find an online EXIF analyser that takes an image url in the url, then archive that.
Wait so archive.today doesn't work when the original page is deleted? Or is it a singular problem?
archive.today is not like the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine to my knowledge in terms of how it goes about acquiring pages. archive.today only archives pages when a user says "hey, archive this page for me please" and not going out on the open web actively. WBM has crawlers of its own, which go about actively crawling the web at seemingly random. The resulting snapshots are generally coarse, and may not always be complete (not as much an issue as of late I've noticed).
There's two ways to invoke Brewster's (IA founder) contraption:
- Directly on http://web.archive.org: you can save a single page in the lower right screen. Is basically exact in functionality to archive.today, but navigation is much more cleaner on WBM than archive.today's list of snapshots. Appears instantaneously on WBM.
- ArchiveBot: basically releasing the hounds on a website. Provides a significantly more comprehensive snapshot of a site, and can also retrieve off-site assets as well. Extremely useful when a site is just too big to put all URLs through the above or through some random Joe's wget or wpull (AB uses wpull) grab. You'll need to hop on #archivebot on EFnet and request that someone initiate a grab. It's ran and maintained (including wpull) by the Archive Team, a third party separate from IA, but its founder works at IA and came up with the idea for it. Grabs don't appear immediately in the WBM, but after a few days (less, recently), it'll appear.

The problem with that is that the evidence chain is broken, except if the original images (cryptographically strong!) hash was archived/witnessed.

When I saw this, I got stiff as a board.
Okay, when they say "2 minutes later, tweet deleted!" what tweet do they mean? When they say "The IP that posted that thread just deleted all three posts..." what do they mean?
Because I thought at first that it meant the Wu "false fag" tweet was deleted, and the thread that was used to spread that "false fag" image.
But when I look through Wu's history, her tweet is still there. Did the mod mean the guy who posted the image that debunked her (2 minutes later, tweet deleted,) or the person who originally posted the falsefag image?

Just a word of advice for anyone writing emails to advertisers, this would be a good thing to include. A single person saying something might be dismissed as the individuals belief's (and no one else's) but with this, it changes things a bit.
Some great news, everyone!

This has nothing to do with TFYC. Its a small game that started off as DC hombrew. It's been in the making for 5+ years now, and they just successfully completed a kickstarter.

EDIT: first to guess who I am wins absolutely nothing because it shouldn't be that hard.

Whoopsie doopsie. I thought Elysian Shadow was the winner of the TFYC vote. AFAIR the actual winner had something to do with haunting people, right?

Someone pointed out that the image posted on 8chan was a .jpg, while the one she posted on her own twitter is a .png, which only helps prove the point that it was manufactured by her. There would be no reason to downgrade to a .jpg unless your original image was too large to be uploaded to 8chan.

Wait, so in essence the image she posted on twitter is of higher quality than the one that was posted on 8chan, which is supposedly the only place it was hosted on prior to her tweet?
Sounds like absolute evidence to me.
Either that or Google should hire her for her decompression skills.

I stopped watching when I saw their skyrim video. Didn't even bother to check the names of anything they were talking about; no way I can trust them to check actual facts if they can't be bothered to do something much simpler.
