Corruption in gaming journalism discussion and update thread. - General

So how do I go on archiving her tweet so that it still maintains the link between it and the image? I've archived the image from the twitter server, but archiving her tweet returns a page where the thumb of the picture is blank and clicking on it links directly towards the original tweet. I'm trying to do it so that the chain of evidence isn't broken. Anyone knows how to do that?

If it comes up blank try another archive. Alternatively it would be enough to archive a website displaying the hash of some web resource. It don't know whether that exists though.

My problem is, the way it is right now, if I try to archive the tweet itself (to show that she was the one to post the image first on twitter), I can't seem to be able to keep the link to the image I archived. It's really ridiculous when these people claim a movement which anyone can claim they are is all composed of harrasment. Usually citing game journalist, who have all the reason to lie, and cherry-picked quotes. Then proceed to dismiss any harrasment on anti-GG's part because clearly their group either can't be generalized or we deserve it. Gamergate isn't a group, it is an event. It's bottom line is that gaming journalism is corrupt. And that's where it ends, it doesn't matter who claims they are apart of it, they can't represent everyone else. It's literally just a quick way of saying "I am against corruption", So it's stupid to say "Gaming journalism is corrupt, but ignore that because some people who claim to be against it harass people."

Literally every movement ever has had bad apples and people on 8chan have demonstrated time and time again that they completely condemn people who suggest using doxxing or harassment.

If you think about it from their point of view, I don't blame most ecelebs when they side with the anti-GG side. They probably get approached by fans asking their opinion over twitter and base their answer off a cursory glance over the most available information. Unfortunately that information is mostly biased bullshit but unless you really look into it, which most people don't care to do.

Okay if I somehow don't go on stream to briefly say this, when this thing started before gamergate I got wind of anti harassment pledge being passed around to game devs under the vale of protecting people like zoe and anita. I was mentioned from what I only heard of in a art dev chat for shroud of the avatar where one predominant person who's gun hoe for fem freq and donated to tropes vs women. I wouldn't know how to contact them without shutting me off or banning me on more details on this pledge.

It's so heated that taking anything else brings social ostracisation which is far more influential than any argument. It sucks that people will actually believe there's a misogynistic bogeyman out there causing all this, but people who don't care obviously won't think further. Since the start my biggest issue hasn't been people being in disagreement, it's the completely intellectually dishonest bullshit. Mocking the use of the generalisations with the term SJW while broadly generalising everyone in GG, condemning any kind of harassment while engaging in the harassment of people they disagree with, accusing opponents of being misogynistic and gender-biased when they white-knight any criticism directed towards women unconditionally, just makes my blood boil seeing them do this kind of hypocritical bullshit.
