hideki kamiya of platinum games hates everyone involved in anti and pro gamergate
in typical kamiya fashion, he blocks anyone on twitter that even mentions it to him once :v:

Kamiya hates a lot of things
He clearly doesn't care to the highest level. Why would he? This is pretty much a US based thing as far as I can tell.
Kayima has been pretty trolly in the past anyway. Probably my favorite person on Twitter.

he used to be the only reason i use my twitter till gamergate came along
"ask your mom" -#1 hideki kamiya response
I don't think any Japanese person wants to be involved in western gender politics at all, or any western politics for that matter. Too much drama.
http://advertising.gawker.com/about/#partners
Yesterday they used to list all their advertisers at the bottom of that part of their website. Now they removed that information.
They're afraid.
btw heres the partners list if anyone didnt get a chance to see it

The page was archived anyway.
does someone want to compile a mailing list to those companies advertising departments?
I'm just heading to bed or i'd start on it
Implied is as far as you're going to get.
Time's UK branch literally takes gaming article directions from Leigh Alexander.
If you're going to bitch at them for basedbiasedbased, you're going to have to do so Time-Warner....
Which is what I did. *shrug*
Guys, there's no good point crying 'woe is me' over some webcomic artist or game dev. We gotta remember that GG is about better journalism and better games, not some sort of moral crusade. There's a point to boycotting corrupt websites and journalists, but there's no good reason to boycott unrelated people because you disagree with them.
I don't let politics and religion affect my spending habits or relationship with people. I can disagree with Joss Whedon or Tim Schafer about GG, but I'll continue supporting them as long as they make good products. Because that's all we ever wanted in the first place. Always remember that our real goal is better games, not universal agreement on this, admittedly, petty issue.
Honestly, I don't give a fuck about gaming journalism at all now. The fact that so many people are able to get away with such malicious behavior something far worse. Video games are a hobby at the end of the day, so shitty video game journalists isn't the end of the world, but to see such disgusting displays of hatred, manipulation, and hypocrisy not only go unanswered for, but to be attributed to the very victims instead is real, legitimate injustice.
do not support the movie birdman or anything fox searchlight makes

Also speaking on partners, Viacom is up to their ass in #AGG, so emailing them or their subsidiaries (Paramount, BET, CC, Spike, MTV, Gametrailers/E3) is a complete waste of time. E3 makes them a fuckton of money every year, and they will do exactly nothing to jeopardize that. Gametrailers has been in the payola loop for over a decade, and the blatantly biased shit they got away with in the 00's actually set many of the precedents that people who want objective coverage are having to deal with now.

It's interconnected. It's not that the only game journalism is corrupt. Most of the big media companies have a lot of connections between each other through shareholders, advertisers, at the end of the day some of them might have the same people at the very-very top.
It's no wonder the side that is closer to media will get free tokes to do as they desire. Sure the responsible parties might get some fingers pointed at them, but that's going to be behind closed doors and with no consequences, because the last thing any media piece wants is to admit to fucking up.
Fucking up in a major, major way, not just screwing part of its audience over, but manipulating the rest. When it was in the early days, they thought they'll get away with it freely and everyone will forget about it. Not it has gone too far and most of the big parties just can't stop.
If there's one thing media-orchestrated (and controlled) pseudo-movements are good for, it's diverting attention.
So no. Continue giving a fuck about journalists. They're the source of it all. At least, it's as high up as we can ever hope to tackle. Not implying conspiracy, of course, it's natural state of affairs where companies are involved.

has 5000 followers, favorited twitter posts back to feb 20th, if it was not real it has to be marked as a parody in description or will get taken down by twitter, etc.
Actually we need to be tackling Marketing as well, or you'll be treating half the symptoms and not the disease.
The entire reason this problem exists starts and ends with video game publishers.
I really need to get those videos done.

Well...I...it's my most anticipated movie of the year. I refuse to believe it, in fact, who cares.
One person can't speak for an entire cast, fuck that twitter.

I give a fuck about the journalists and friends, but I don't give a fuck about them being lazy, greedy, or bad at their job any more, I give a fuck about them being genuinely awful people at the most basic level.

As if her becoming a moderator would have any impact.
People would simply make a new subreddit.

This total fucking moron.
I am going to say this a thousand times, but I cannot fucking image the amount of willful ignorance these people have to be under to post insane shit like this. They have no fucking idea what they're talking about at any time. If they are not this fucking stupid, I don't know what kind of procedure you need to go through to lie and act like a fucking trash bag of a human being to look this fucking dumb just to keep a social circle. It baffles and astounds me and I wish I could go back to the times where I would just laugh and brush this shit off.

These kind of comments always disgust me. How can you say that kind of thing and sleep at night. How stupid do you have to be to say "I equate a person who presses buttons on a controller for self entertainment to someone in real life who is shooting and killing people."
i decided to re-read 30 pages at the beginning of this thread

Dear God, what a bunch of fucking scumbags.
[editline]18th October 2014[/editline]
The fact that I used to like and respect these people, the fact that I have a Destuctoid bobble head on my shelf right now I'm fucking looking at it, disgusts me.

Because people have taken the word "gamer" and tried to (and have been marginally successful) redefine it to mean "everything wrong with the world". It's a common tactic in smear campaigning: think of how people made "obamacare" into a legitimate word.

Disgusting. How can you do this and still think/claim you're being an honest and upstanding bussiness.
I'd say post that in SH, but not coming from an actual news publication, can't say if the mods would allow it. If anyone is willing to take the risk though, get it done.
