"A good editor will fight to the death even against the almighty publisher if the readers are being abused; and any editor who can stand up to the moguls who sign the paychecks will make short work of self-serving, recalcitrant authors." For things to get this out of hand, these people shouldn't call themselves journalists or editors.

After their massive shift to posting even more fucking terrible opinion pieces (they were always bad, just admit it RPS fans) their userbase kinda revolted, but still continued to read the damn thing anyway. Kind of a shame about Polygon, when it started it showed some form of promise, hosting actual interviews with big and small devs, decent site layout and generally decent content.
