These articles are expected and normal, it's bullshit they exist but the currently the only "facts" available to these people are from the same people who are in question in the first place.

I am not responsible for some single stupid fucking troll on the internet. I do my best to make sure gaming is an equal place for everyone to enjoy, and so do many others. I donated to charity, protected and defended people from threats and hateful comments, and all I have seen [I]them[/I] do is attempt to claim when I donate to charity I am only doing it "to harass them", when I protect them I am merely doing it "for attention." Their goals are endless and maligned. When they say hateful and spiteful things, it's okay. I don't even do it, and they claim just because I am in the same group as somebody I support it. I don't, and I never will.

To add to that, last time I heard of them Autism Speaks were denying someone with autism to speak at their conference, because it would be "disrespectful" :v:
There's even a counter-movement going on against that charity because they are somewhat shitty to the people they claim to represent more or less consistently.
From the (one-sided) things I read about them they actually aren't that different from the SJWs, except that they are self-pitying because of having to deal with autistic people in their families instead of wanting to destroy what is "oppressing" them.
I'm not going to bother pointing that out though, both because there's enough pasta and I can't be bothered to look up the details again.
Did anyone note the pc gamer article published today? Not much to day as it was just a regurgitation of the same mantras. I would unfollow on Facebook but free steam games are still too tempting for the time being.

If you want to talk about political influences, GG seems more like a case of liberals vs anti-liberals than left vs right. I've seen leftist and rightist liberals be pro-GG, while the anti-GG people are unwilling to let gaming and gaming journalism be for everyone, instead of just right-wing white men and women pretending to be leftist.

Sent an email to Adobe praising their stance and showing Wu's diplomatic side. IE, "Stop tweeting to me you gross fucking aspie". Kept GG out of it.

In terms of demographics it seems like most GG supporters are left-center, with a fair bit of far-leftist folks and some conservatives as well. Not surprisingly seems like a cross section of online gaming communities as a whole.

They're owned fullstop by GS, they will never report on any subject that will cost them sales, and GS marketing works with them directly to get payola exclusives, and has since they were purchased. That is the most paragraphs of deflected apologism I've read in a long time, and the telling part is the linking of the threats directly to #GG.
To my knowledge neither threat was ever linked definitely in any way or form to GG at all. So saying it is factually known, is a lie, pure and simple, and they know it, especially in light of SA goons being known to have attempted to incite shit on both sides of the fence with actions like these.
This is what is wrong with games "journalism"; there is literally no journalism present. No fact checking, no digging around, no scrupulous as fuck editor breathing down your neck to get your shit straight or face the wrath of the ghost of Edward R Murrow, for three nights until you run screaming down the streets screaming "I'LL NEVER YELLOW AGAIN, I PROMISE" on Xmas morning.
