So, the moment it first appeared. People say GG is a smear campaign, when in fact, we are victims of smear campaign from the very first moments. Bad seeds mean nothing. There effectively are no bad seeds, because there's no defined movement. Anyone can put on a hashtag and publish someone's doxx. Or send death threats. No one can honestly expect large amounts of people just 'switch' to a different hastag each time someone doxxes someone sends death threats to someone, or better yet - doxxes themselves/sends death threats to themselves. Because that will happen each an every time a new hashtag is used. It will just instantly get "tarnished" by "bad apples" that may very well even not support anything and do it just for some retarded entertainment. This 'movement' can get slowed down, dispersed or anything one can imagine, but not tarnished - not any more than it already is. There's only so much stuff that can stick to you after you've seen several buckets and one cannister of shit poured on your head. That's how media defends itself, by trying and making the opposing entity stink worse than they themselves do, the only difference being we stink because they put dog shit on us, and for media - that's their natural odour.

Doing so would just leave the door open for "Oh look it's that same nasty GamerGate with a new name". The only viable option to keeping the movement alive is to outlive the diatribe from the opposition. In the same vain, the Democrats were once known as the Racist party but today they're seen as the party sitting on higher moral ground. It's a shame that GG is full of holes left by a lot of bitter misogynists and trolls, but to say the Anti-GG movement doesn't have a lot of holes of its own would be straight lying.

And you know what's the best part? Those people who shit on US are able to keep their lights on because WE pay their rent. WE are their target audience. That's me. And you. And every fucking person who plays video games. Whether it is Angry Birds, Pokemon, Tekken or World of Warcraft.
