@TechyFolks Supporting #GamerGate is acting like a dick if you're an apologist for a criminal conspiracy. Your words will let us know.
Am I reading it out of context? I need clarification from him on what he mean's "apologist for a criminal conspiracy", I don't apologize for journalists and devs acting terrible? He mentioned paranauitical activity I guess, but that person who made death threat to gabe blamed pro-gg people.

You can actually apply a lot of this to the Anti-GG side
Edit:

So Jontron just tweeted he wants GG to end. I thought he was pro-GG.

Fatigue is not necessarily opposition. I think a lot of people on both sides are getting tired- this has been going on far longer than most Internet events, with no sign of stopping any time soon.
he's neutral and supports a more ethical games media, but he doesn't want to get caught up in the crossfire
it doesn't help that game journos have pretty much successfully convinced the mainstream that GG is an malicious group of demons who want to scourge the planet of women
So Jontron just tweeted he wants GG to end. I thought he was pro-GG.
I'm pretty sure everyone wanted WWII to end too. (Not to imply that this is anywhere near as serious as WWII, but to imply that one could be weary yet still want or need to fight.)
I keep seeing shit like this for instance:
Kluwe's public information is publicly known, it's pretty much akin to doxxing Obama.
So Jontron just tweeted he wants GG to end. I thought he was pro-GG.
I don't think he was pro-GG in the first place.
Either way, lets not mob him for being neutral & just get back to emailing the advertisers.
Its not that, they support non-white women. Its just a growing trend that they speak for these non-white women and exclude trans-women.
The speak for part kinda goes with "without listening to or confiding in"

He was roughly pro in the beginning, but he was just coming out of the retarded incident and then got even more shit thrown at him by the same people and was getting doxxed and threatened by them. He's trying to basically distance himself from all of it.

I think everyone is fatigued on GG, Anti or Pro.
Also, Jontron's problem is that he doesn't really understand what it's about and thats why he wants it off his twitter feed. It's understandable.

He takes things to heart and when people bash him he feels it. When he said he doesn't know what GG stands for, he's probably at the same point TB was at the beginning just never was able to go and ask around like TB did due to in part of trying to bring people together to moderate a discussion.
Seriously, it's a time for nobodies to be somebodies. One can aggregate articles discuss them, understand from it, then debate them, and then bring conclusion, but it doesn't alone fix a problem if you want it to want to see change.
Theodore Roosevelt once said,
"In any moment of decision,
the best thing you can do is the right thing,
the next best thing is the wrong thing,
and the worst thing you can do is nothing."
Though ant-gg people are doing the wrong thing, eventually in time correct things will be done if the best choice is always sought out and done.
What corrupts that virtue is impatience, fear, and giving up.
Here's something I learned in a group speech class which is meant to be a last resort,
get everyone in one room, lock all the exits so no one can get out except for the one person moderating, nobody leaves the room until everyone and I mean everyone agrees unanimously on all the subjects contested (everything is fixed), no playing passive and silent, no agree to disagree, nothing is dropped until next time, and no pretending. You will find when it's done correctly so much shit is flung like worst enemies and after it all everyone understands one and other.
If you don't speak up in such times like these then you will be oppressed.
Edit: opps made a typo on quotes, thanks guys

I made a boo boo, stuff happens. To err is human.

This man is a lecturer? I paused for a few seconds until I realized that you can still lecture and be a nutter.

IGN being the voice of reason. That's oddly reassuring.

Regardless of his friendships, calling for discussion is a good thing.

I bet Eron's lawyer would love to have this information, and screencaps of the tweets/posts.
Regardless of his friendships, calling for discussion is a good thing.
Calling for discussion is a stalling tactic so as many jobs are as possible are kept with as many of the same asses in said seats.
I'd rather contact revenue streams or speak with people not trying to enhance mainstream fatigue so that the people who care simply get shouted down into nothing with the time I have. The journalists in question do not want compromise, and they literally lied on camera to the viewing public, much less in their own media.
While there is much to discuss in regards to the actual issues prevalent, letting the same organization that pushed BW to put Chobot in ME3 as recompense for getting GOTY coverage before the game's review copy was even cold enough to be sent is, and then hammering "entitlement" as a deflection for genuine dissatisfaction (which is the same exact thing that's happening now) is.... disingenuous at best.

Wait, what? I can't remember that quote. Is she literally boasting about ending somebody's career because she thought that person 'has no place in this business'? Who made her the fucking boss of an entire industry?

Make sure to do the maximum count combos so you're almost naked all the time, thus becoming nothing more than an objected to be ogled and shamed.

Game publishers did, when marketing began to matter more than actual content, prolly around 1994 or so, continuing with Capcom able to get for-pay exclusives with GamePro and EGM brokering deals with Miday, Capcom and Konami for first-look exclusivity, including cheats (which were a HUGE deal at the time), coffin cemented in 2001 when Eidos was pretty successfully able to squash most of the truth around Ion Storm Dallas in return for early access to Ion Storm Austin releases, even openly joked about in mags like PC Accelerator, like the contest between Mike and Dan to see who could get the best/most swag from a publisher in return for open coverage favors.
