At least seemingly, I'm not into going through the history and principles of mass media now. My biggest problem with Gawker is its gaping fucking hole where their professionalism should be. The quality, man! Where the fuck is it. There's going after low hanging balls, and then there's being terribly unprofessional about it. It goes for their reaction to criticism and ad-pulling too. Just how did it happen that standards got so low, no, [b]SO LOW[/b] that people who understand fuck-all about how media should operate become this successful. That dolphin handjob article is terribly written first and foremost. I get that there're people who read it and then link this stuff to their friend on Facebook and shit, "look at this shit man, the hilarity!". But it's painful to read, as are most of Gawker's sites' articles.

Anyone know of ethical,factual journalists strugglung to get readership,particularily in videogames? I didn't realise gawker was worth 300mil dollars,I was under the impression the were a lot smaller just really loud,it makes what they are doing a lot worse .

In fact, I don't think there would be anyone [b]that stupid[/b] with so much free time on their hands to actually come all the way with physical violence after getting some info on the internet. But imagine someone, who was recently doxxed, getting mugged or beaten on the street - just by random criminals. It will immediately blamed on opposing 'team'. The odds of that happening increase with each person getting doxxed. I mean, GG already was blamed for someone's suicide.

Not to sound really like a fucking nutter, but except for a few websites, these journalist run the show. They get to be paraded around like they are the only official sources because they call themselves journalists. They aren't going to change. Its too late in the day for it. A lot of these people are in it just to feel superior and justified in life. A lot like some other news networks and sites. It's honestly a depressing situation, and I feel sorry for anyone who got the door slammed in their face when they tried to join in on the club and were told they didn't fit in. I haven't really seen anything about gate keeping but everything I read straight from them would imply it. No criticism or your off the train.
