This article is a good laugh; as back as early September, then anti-GG side said they were winning a culture war against misogynists in regards to women in gaming. That isn't denial, it's straight up delusion. They're so deep in the idea that GG supporters are evil ISIS, KKK, Nazi monsters that they actively reject things that go against their narrative.

Colbert isn't promoting bullying. He's playing his character, but he's talked about both sides and ripped into her pretty hilariously at the start.
