I made a BitTorrent Sync share with the graph, PM me for the read-only secret. You need Maltego.
Also apparently people are considering emailing Gabe to ask him to remove Kotaku from the "Syndicated" links on steam.
Syndicated links should probably just get removed anyways. It's missing both Dota 2 and CS:GO Dev blogs anyways.
can anyone tell me why people even care about this? 99% of gaming journalism is a joke anyways, who gives a shit?

They are now insulting all gamers and generalising them as misogynists and criminals.
I think that's reason enough, considering journalists strongly influence public opinion.

Because the clique that is being called out has an actual influence over what kind of indie developers gets in the spotlight, among other things.

The problem is that these people have influence on the image of gaming as a hobby and an industry. These sites also can influence developers, especially indie devs. The problem goes deeper than a lot of complaining, and just letting it be isn't going to solve the underlying issues. It wouldn't be a problem if these journalists' voice and influence wasn't so far spread. The Independent Games Festival is rigged by people related to Silverstring Media, an organization that Maya and Anita Sarkeesian are linked to, as well as members of the IGF chair. Developers pay money to enter the IGF and be judged and awarded as finalists by a panel of judges. These judges are selected by a member of the chair. The member of the chair has had relations with Maya, who is related to Silverstring media. It's a lot more than even just journalism, and it affects the industry as a whole.

They're "journalists" to anyone who knows anything or that gives a shit.
but to the rest of the public, they're journalists. They are the voice of gamers, and they're acting like whiny crybaby children. And the public is listening.

Sponsors are back, please report the issue of corruption to Microsoft and Valve, it's not something that can just go ignored.

He's obviously doing it for his SJW rep.
If he makes ten more angry tweets about misogyny in gaming culture, he'll have enough justice dollars to upgrade his soapbox.

IGF is connected to Maya who's connected to a clusterfuck of people. Essentially, it's pretty rigged.
And I now understand how Fez could win without the game actually being released.

Fez hasn't been the only game to get a IGF award before release.

Bit of Googling:

Altohugh, if this is his twitter, he's not actually an attorney/lawyer but she is, as far as I can tell. Although since his wife is the attorney for this...

Also, it's set at flexible funding so they get the money regardless of goal reached.
You know, I want this to be legit, but something seems a bit off, I mean, they've "hired" an attorney (who also is the wife of the founder of the campaign) but haven't named a law firm or anything. Plus you really would need more than one attorney for something like this.
Someone has been fired

Looks like, couple of her statuses cover it or make it seem like it, though seems lieks hes wording it as she quit rather than got fired, but we don't know either way.
she also said that "Ex-writer" was in her twitter profile for months at aug 19th it wasn't there.

Here's hoping that these issues are just the results of an overenthusiastic start, instead of signs of more sinister motives.
