The reason you shouldn't force arbitrary diversity is because you're going to end up writing Apache Chief and Black Vulcan.

Especially when it comes to fantastical things like superheroes, the future, fantasy worlds etc, you can pretty much just swap around races as you please because they don't need to be bound by our society's views of race.

I agree with you, but I have a story that takes place in the future. However, my point in making people black or non-white in my story is that these are the people most affected by shitty school funding and illegal contraceptives. Though not everyone is non-white.

I found the website for the studio that game dev who made that petition to cancel Hatred. [url]http://witchhousecollective.web.fc2.com/current.html[/url] They are literally coming right out and saying they only goal is to push an agenda. Their goal isn't to create a fun experience, or even make something thought provoking or artistic. It's simply about pushing their politics.
