I love how arthur tries to tell pakman how to do proper reporting. Chu also speaks about the term "slave" in relation to RATs. "slave" does not explicitly mean "woman" it simply means that computer is under your control. In my experience only specific people target women and I've never found anyone who did that for anything other than money.

What was he going at with "definition of ethics". Sorry but journalistic integrity is not affected by common morality. Keep your honest political convictions to yourself. Which is actually the entire point. Media has a huge power over public views, coming down to a 'new opinion" phenomenon, and as an industry wielding such an immense power it has to be kept in check and stick to information and facts as opposed to opinions and ideology. Which is why professional ethics and journalistic integrity exist. But no. Propagating one-sided argument is 'ethical', apparently. For a person who spouts big words like "inclusive", Chu certainly has no problem with censorship when it comes to certain opinions and convictions. Which goes to show how much these kind of people's 'honest convictions' are worth - very little. When they feel marginalized, they vocally stand by various civic liberties and freedom of thought and expression, and how status-quo has to be shifted and stuff, how government should listen to the people, you know? Shit like that. But the moment their opinion gets prevalent in media, the moment they get represented in higher echelons of power? Censor all the rest. Government, pls help. Media, pls help.

I'd say that interview was pretty laughable. Like holy shit, what's with the focus on ZQ? Someone should do a breakdown of the time he devoted to talking about her compared to the time devoted to everything else. And he totes used SoM as 'evidence' even though TB is the guy that brought it up. All I know is I'd hate to be trapped in his mindset because I sure as hell can't handle the sort of mental gymnastics he must be doing to function.

these people dont comb their hair because they dont have jobs outside of their home studios, and probably don't go outside much. as an animator that works mostly from home and for a time didn't have a part time job, i can confirm sometimes you get used to not looking nice for people because you're not going anywhere for a while, especially when working for long periods of time. you would think they'd take a fucking shower and look nice for an interview though. sometimes their families are filthy rich and just shovel cash into their mouths, so they don't need to go anywhere.
