KoP screaming? Wait what, where?
The stream on the previous page: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UczG0dWJpz8 He left now though.
Jesus christ I'm listening to it right now, why is KoP such a bitch?
I'm not trying to violate the rules of this forum (if I missed it somewhere just stating I'm sorry), but I think King of Pol would have been banned on this forum.
I'm not trying to violate the rules of this forum (if I missed it somewhere just stating I'm sorry), but I think King of Pol would have been banned on this forum.
as I said before, his name is King of /pol/, that should've been enough of a red flag about the guy.
Either that, or he would've become a mod.
I'm having a hard time reading this, partly because most of the corrections are flat-out wrong and partly because the author seems to be assuming more than what is there. Like for the part where "#gamergate exploded after Adam Baldwin tweeted it." That's actually a true statement. Adam Baldwin tweets #gamergate. A few days later, the hashtag explodes. Correlation does not imply causation. I wish people would actually read the words that are written and ask for clarification instead of assuming meanings behind them.
In the example you mention, the corrector was pointing out that TB implied Baldwin's coining of the term was the starting point of gamergate as of consumer revolt against those articles. Why else would tb mention the coining of the term there?
I'm not trying to violate the rules of this forum (if I missed it somewhere just stating I'm sorry), but I think King of Pol would have been banned on this forum.
dude wouldn't last a week
Supposedly one of Gawker's "native advertisers" is leaving: http://theralphretort.com/disgraced-gawker-loses-another-sponsor/ (unverified)
Like I said before (like a few months ago actually, CALLED IT) don't give KoP attention. Just ignore him and move on. There are many other good streams out there, like Oliver's.
as I said before, his name is King of /pol/, that should've been enough of a red flag about the guy.
thats racist. these videos represents /pol/ pretty well and I don't think it raises any red flags :^)
https://twitter.com/srhbutts/status/530127810879184896 In case you don't want to read the tweet, it's this: "#gamergate doesn't agree with nazis, but we welcome their support!" and attached is an image from 8chan's /gg/ board of one post talking about how the post's writer will listen to Stormfront people if they have something to say about GG. Honestly, I don't think we should be siding with Neo-Nazis. Any information they can provide can be obtained from less... literally-one-of-the-worst-kinds-of-people-in-humanity sources. Call it infighting or whatever, but I just don't think it's a good idea. [editline]5th November 2014[/editline] Although I guess it's okay for the anti-GG people to listen to everything Ian Cheong has to say because, y'know, he only used to be a Nazi (something for which I'm not sure he's ever apologised).
You are completely misinterpating what they are saying. Hes saying he would respect there right to speak about GG. Hes saying he wouldnt just completely ignore them from the shit they gotta say just because they are Neo-Nazis as long as they arent acting like Neo-Nazis. Its pretty much the best mindset you can be in imo, I agree 100% with hearing others. The gamergate viewpoints from these hypothetical Nazis is what would be welcomed, not Neo-Nazis. MLK JR did this with KKK members fyi.

It seems a bit rich to run a site like that while espousing a movement for unbiased journalism.

Shes an ironic /pol/ shitposter but on youtube.
can we stop using theralphretort as a source
That's why that (unverified) is there (and also because there's just one tweet). It's pretty much gossip but it's not that often outright wrong. [editline]6th November 2014[/editline]
It seems a bit rich to run a site like that while espousing a movement for unbiased journalism.
Hm, good point. It's not that much better than Gawker.
as I said before, his name is King of /pol/, that should've been enough of a red flag about the guy.
The flag must have been so red it was in the microwave spectrum.
as I said before, his name is King of /pol/, that should've been enough of a red flag about the guy.
IMO I don't know why so many people seemingly had faith in him in the first place tbh, his name alone suggests an agenda, however I'm surprised he didn't break down sooner considering
man, KOP shooting himself in the foot and sargon getting pissed at that other woman kinda sucked. oh he comes back. is he 15? jesus he's so annoying. I dont think I could listen to him even if he had something worth saying in that stream.
The person said at the end of that thought
No, that doesn't change the fact that they're arguments are based on fallacy and if they're going to go down that route than Anti-GG is just as if not more guilty than GG. GG actively goes out to stop harrasement, people against GamerGate don't.

8:27 Was Leigh on the GJP list or not? I've seen conflicting statements so far, which of the two is the most credible?
8:27 Was Leigh on the GJP list or not? I've seen conflicting statements so far, which of the two is the most credible?
I do not know the details of when or the validity of Leigh being in the list but it was pointed out at one time she was, but then at some point wasn't, she didn't discuss anything at that moment. If there was, it could had been some other list or via emails.
But but she had to leave her house for 2 hours, thats way more serious (or am I thinking of someone else).
No, that was her. Basically. She went to dinner.

also from 8chan
Ok, for those of you that are not privy to this, it was discussed on the William Usher stream last night and on DRAMA tea time stream streaming right now. OPERATION WE WEAPONIZE CLICKBAIT It goes like this, beautiful fa/gg/ots: >screencap controversial and distasteful articles with an advertisers banner on it >screencap controversial and distasteful tweets et al. from staffers from their respective media outlets >superimpose them >create OC focusing on the advertiser >publicize it on Twitter and other social media networks >SIGNAL BOOST (TM) >???? >profit
remember, don't mention gamergate. clickbait for the clickbait god.

The corrupt journalists are all heavily leftist, it was only a matter of time before Fox caught wind of it all. While we laugh at the claims of 'weaponizing minorities,' Fox News is most certainly going to weaponize video games. A political weapon, at that. [editline]6th November 2014[/editline] This is now coming after the reps took both the senate and house, I have a feeling we're going to have a very red winter this year.

There is no middle ground. There's only the big old seesaw of political extremism.

If it ever hit a point where it was going to spiral out of control and ruin the industry, then it'd be better to destroy the whole thing and rebuild, start over again.
