No, she equivocated flat out, essentially saying "well everyone else does it that way so it's gotta be that way, and here are things I like about it and things I don't." That is not remotely the same thing as objectively critiquing it. It's entirely "muh feels", and as we can see after twenty years of this, "muh feels" leads to shit like Halo 2, and A:CM and Watch Dogs/UbiSoft in general and Human Head being hung out to dry with no support from the reporters they chummed up with to get Prey 2 on the map in the first place. "muh feels, yours should be like mine, kk?" is not fucking working. All it's doing is harming people who have questions by giving them a blanket monolithic answer based on OVERT social pressuring. That's not any better than the assholes fucking with people online based on their gender, identity or political/social/logistical background. Someone happily smiling as they kick you in the nads is still getting kicked in the nads.
Barring the first line, I literally have no clue how what I said prompted any of this. What the hell are you talking about?
What the hell are you talking about? That game was produced 10 years before any of this was a problem.
lmao, wrong. Collusion and subjective bias has been going on since the 90's, go reread Francesca Reyes's review of the game. A timed exclusive review, btw.
Here's something interesting: http://gamergate.community/showthread.php?tid=726&pid=4029#pid4029
Question- has there been anything like this happening against prominent, or even small, people who don't support Gamergate? This is an honest question because I'm interested (and it wouldn't surprise me if somebody had been that much of a dick), but you'd have thought that if a person under the Gamergate banner had put someone out of a job, it'd be all over the news.

Not that I've heard, supposedly KoP and others have apparently had cross threats from inside GG, but no one has posted anything resembling proof, screenshots etc. at all... So who knows. There are definitely good people and complete fuckfaces on both sides of the equation, but trust and verify doesn't seem to be catching on too much.

The (apparent(?)) creator of the #NotYourShield tag lost his job after it was mass-called by anti-GG though. (And no, noone reported about it.)[/del] I misread that, still a bit sleepy. As far as I know noone has been put out of their job so far by supporters of Gamergate (but a few freelance jounos "quit" and came back a few weeks later I think).
He just remained silent while Geoff tried to tie it to GamerGate. Mike couldn't respond to that without interrupting him because Geoff then changed the subject to Blizzard, which he'd much rather talk about. [editline]7th November 2014[/editline] Archive of the Kotaku article: https://archive.today/GIBuA I said this in the /gg/ thread about this, we should send a few e-mails to Blizzard explaining to them that Kotaku is twisting their words, that GG condemns harassment and has produced positive results (Escapist changing ethics policies, etc.), and call for the CEO to make a clarifying statement that his words were not directed toward GamerGate. The article would then not only be narrative spinning garbage, but exposed to the public as blatant lies and possibly even libel.
Would it be useful to include evidence of how Gawker is actually bullying people and appears to be exactly part of the problem Matt was alluding to?
Man how can you be a good programmer and not follow any logical reasoning?
Bending logic and reason to whatever outcome you want is what programming is about.
Man how can you be a good programmer and not follow any logical reasoning?
Artistry and rationality aren't often cozy companions. Code simply exists and executes, if it executes incorrectly, it's because it was formulated incorrectly. Computer programming is the assigning, changing and resolving of nascent values to produce other values. Human programming is the honing of patterns through the use of chemicals until they are "correct". "Correct" in human terms is usually whatever you can manage to fumble through to get something you like, until you realize years later it gives you cancer or makes you lose your hair or they weren't as awesome as you thought they were now that you think about it.

I just don't have it in me, especially because that entire argument boils down to "muh feels" vs rational arguments. Why do they expect us to care about their feelings? Part of the other person's response really annoyed me:
EVEN IF he was abused by his ex (which is not demonstrated, but for the sake of argument we’ll go with it), that’s when you involve police. You don’t rally a hate campaign against her to be played out online and in the real world and not expect to lose all of your credibility. Seriously, “What was he thinking?!” are the only words that come to mind.
Ok, so if Eron is abused he should go to the police, but if Zoe is abused she should broadcast it across the web, play the victim card every chance she gets, and do just about everything but contact the police. Typical SJW feels > fact shit. Also I'm enjoying the way they talk to us like we're the ones who don't understand anything. It's almost like they aren't gullible idiots who went to college and got spoonfed some SJW bullshit based mostly on totally debunked "science".

The game looks pretty rad to me from a gameplay perspective, and already the characters seem pretty well developed. The music is fucking ace too. I'm backing it regardless of what you chucklefucks want to do, but I think it would be really great if we could signal boost it on twitter. Having people like Sommers and Liana K help signal boost puts the opposition in a hard spot.

People don't consider trans people real females in the story so she has to lead a criminal life to live.
While Earth was torn apart by war, and populations wiped out by other unknown causes, only one isolated city survived unscathed: Plovdiv. It remained a peaceful city dedicated to freedom and equality for its entire all-woman population. But who controls this city? Why did only Plovdiv not only survive, but thrive? These are questions that few, if any, consider. Life is good. The streets are safe. Crime has all but vanished. But is it true? The image of stability is thanks to assassins hired to take out any dissidents before they become notable. These assassins aren't simply hired by the government, but any person or organization with a dispute and willingness to pay up. It's a prevalent but unacknowledged concern within Plovdiv. Our heroine, Ceyda Farhi, has been marginalized by society since day one. As a Bulgarian Turk and trans woman, she was often not seen as a true Bulgarian before the revolution, and not a true woman after it, which led her to life of crime in order to make a living. While carrying out some routine assassinations, Ceyda becomes aware of something: these assassinations are anything but routine. All of these missions involve an organized revolt against the government and foundations of society. As she becomes aware of the force behind it, an ancient organization of otherworldly beings who've guided humanity's advances (and downfalls) since the dawn of time, there's one question lingering in the back of her mind: in a society where being a woman is a prerequisite for being human, does someone who's often not considered a "whole woman" have any duty to save those who hate her? And would they even believe her if she told them?
see, it's ok to make a story about some gay kid getting a lesbian lover in a house, but when a actual cool plot comes along it isn't ok because it paints feminists in a bad light. welcome to the modern game industry.

Anything that paints Feminism in a bad light gets shunned immediately by the Gaming journo cabal, no matter how pro feminism it could actually be I just finally got around to givin that kickstarter 10$
TERF still has the word "Feminism" in it.
Well yeah, but TERF is just a subset of Feminism. I mean I get that the group we're dealing with is probably incapable of making that distinction, but I still have a hard time wrapping my head around the idea that most people are incapable of making that distinction. Every time WBC comes up in the news you get all sorts of people commenting on how they're Baptist or Christian or whatever and capable of disagreeing with their teachings. It happens less often with politicians and political parties, but it still happens fairly often in the media. The same should apply to Feminism and so forth right? EDIT: Just saw your edit
nope, fuck this bitch. burn it down. politician pig. you go.
Should we petition them to remove the GG article outright as they cannot provide an unbiased definition of it?Its really fucking sad considering its an encyclopedia not some asshat hipster tumblr blog.
