Personally I'm all up for feminist/ social critique of video games. Yes, not all games are art or are meant to be interpreted that way, but they can be criticised the same way we criticise movies. I really think people [I]just don't get[/I] that corruption and feminism in games, whilst there is a [B]tiny[/B] amount of overlap, really aren't related, and the two don't have to be mutually inclusive (that's a comment to everybody there, not just anti-GG people).

I agree, it is quite good. It mostly repeats things that have already been said, but it ties them together with a great deal of context and in that respect I feel it's worth reading, even if you know all about Sarkeesian and McIntosh. I suppose this is also only the first of many such essays by this person, and I look forward to them.
A tl;dr of the essay as it stands: Tropes vs. Women in Video Games is not even remotely close to academic quality and has no business being used as an educational tool.
