is this guy an actual writer for far cry 4? and is he a main one? or is he some dunce intern
He has been quoted once as "one of the script writers".
https://archive.today/bzFwk Jimbo Wales talks to ryulong on his AMA
But I am also recommending that several editors who have been involved realize that they are not helping to defuse the situation and to simply step away and let others handle it. If you've become part of the wider Internet drama (for example, by starting an AMA about yourself) surrounding Gamergate, then you likely should step away from the article.

Looks like he pulled the first tweet and did a bit of backpedaling. Rest are still up though. https://archive.today/2G5Qk (entire feed) https://archive.today/tvy30 (the second tweet)
Make sure you cancel your far cry 4 preorder if you have one. Tweet a pic of the transaction to Ubsoft directly, and spread the word. Ubsoft will not be happy if a bunch of people start canceling their preorder because of this guy, they will either make him remove his twitter or fire him for damage control.
I have to ask: does it really? Does he think that people are so out of touch with reality that when the every day bro dude goes out to buy the new CoD they think it's a direct reflection of how real soldiers operate and not just a really over the top portrayal of the military akin to action movies? Fake Edit: Ok, I think he does. You'd think someone who claims to hold themselves to a higher critical standard would realize that CoD is, as of now, a massive military parody. It's like Transformers 2 when that guy calls the ship to fire a railgun on the big fucking thing that was on the pyramids; it is an overglorification of things we have now on a level that is clearly not reality but making fun of it.
If anything, the concept of the military has been quite evil in the series. The US' hasty invasion of not-Saudi Arabia leads to the US forces in generic Middle Eastern town #45243 getting nuked, General Shepherd is the ultimate bad guy in MW2 even though he's a military general, Menendez in BO2 took control of the US drone fleet just to destroy them as a warning about the dangers of them, and the evil South American confederation's military in Ghosts turns the Southwestern part of the US into a hellhole parlty out of revenge of a botched US attempt to overthrow the generic South American president that made the confederation in the first place. The military characters do heroic things, but it's clear that none of what happened in the CoD series would've occured if it wasn't for militaries being assholes and doing stupid things.

Personally I think the industry is a train that's about to run off a mountain cliff. It cannot sustain itself. Until developers can better procedurally generate assets like models, textures, animations, sound, dialogue, the industry is just going to burn itself out. If you want a micro-example, look at L.A. Noire. A game which burned everything on star actors and face mo-cap to look like garbage within a few years.
https://archive.today/bzFwk Jimbo Wales talks to ryulong on his AMA
He should just the article. Hell, when browsing through some meta pages, I found this block notice with his name on it: Why can't he just put his money where his mouth is and mirror this page on Ryulong's?
I should point out that this looks like an automated twitter message from doing a survey, and not something that was actually explicitly written by Anita.
The fact that it was posted on FF's twitter and not deleted is evidence that FF supports WAM!.
The fact that it was posted on FF's twitter and not deleted is evidence that FF supports WAM!.
I know, I'm just making the distinction since it says taking 'our' survey.
I should point out that this looks like an automated twitter message from doing a survey, and not something that was actually explicitly written by Anita.
It looks more like she is sharing the original message that WAM posted to share it to her followers rather than it being an automated message. WAM's original tweet is exactly the same as Anita's without the mentions at the end. https://twitter.com/womenactmedia/status/8198607762
femfeq recommended this game on kickstarter, one person pro-gg made a video commenting on it and not favoring it. get's posted on 8chan people discussing it at the moment, some not liking it based on certain information while others making a point that it's being done for the late child and some other varying things person to person. This is what is happening, he's in a way being bullied and exploited to drive this 'new games movement'. He might have close connections to everyone (he had a conversation with leigh and ben kuckeria on an old ouya ad), still this bully culture is so up front. also him on twitter: https://twitter.com/ryangreen8/status/534562062002040832
@PrestariumRetar @XenizoGames thanks for reaching out. I respect that you don't like it. I hope that you can assume our best intent. Unless it's found out that Ryan is in cahoots with all the generally "bad" people then I think we should give him support. He's doing what he can to make sure that GG isn't smeared for something it didn't do. Right now, he genuinely seems like a nice guy. And he lost his son, for pete's sake. This game has been in dev since at least 2012 or 2011 so it's not like he just figured this to cash in on current controversies.
Was going to make a new video on gg, decided to just upload these two segments instead

Do so because you think it should exist. If you back up stuff simply because of emotional reasons you'll end up with shit like Kony 2012.

Ubisoft hasn't even figured out how to load regular assets, Bethesda hasn't figured out how to unload them, EA loads some of it then gives up and uses a random skeleton.
TB talks about "social justice": http://www.twitlonger.com/show/n_1sihieb and blows it out of the park. But honestly it's so simple to refute this logic: "Their logic, which I'd be interested to see if it has any basis in academia, is that you can't be "ist" against the people with the power, that the power dynamic is what leads to oppression ergo, "ism"." That it confounds me anyone belives this. TB explained this in long form but the refutation boils down to a very simple idea: People are individuals, and power is not nor has it even been evenly distributed based on race or gender. Someone will always be in a position of power of any degree regardless of their race or gender, and the moment they decide to discriminate against another sentient being based on race, gender, or similar concepts, then you have oppression and have "ist" and "ism". To put it even more simply, as long as you are alive, have the ability to think or move or communicate, while the degree will vary, you have power.
Man I love reading rants/talks from TB.
Man I love reading rants/talks from TB.
Add the jazz music and its golden.
And to think that a couple of months (jesus can you imagine internet outrage going on this long?) TB was treading exte-e-emely carefully around social justice and it's rather unpleasant 'interpretation' on the internet, trying not to step on any toes and stuff.
[thumb]http://i.imgur.com/IZp6jIS.jpg[/thumb] IGN is really shaping up it's image and responsibility.
I don't know if anyone here read Dan's AMA when he did one, but for me it really dismissed a lot of bad air around IGN. I still don't read the site because I think it's a clusterfuck of information about a lot of things and there is no "video games only" button, but I don't approach it with nearly as much ire as most people do.
That list blocks people based on who they follow, even Christina Sommers. How fucking shallow do you have to be.
He admitted he is wrong and an idiot for suggesting something like that later.
