I know this isn't really Gamergate related, but it does involve corruption in overall Journalism so I thought I'd post it here as well.

Not prudery, authoritarianism, policing men or panicking over sexuality". She hits the nail on the head. Also here's something else non-Gamergate related yet is kind of related: And let's not pretend this only applies to Anti-Gamergate.

Can ANY of these SJWs or Anita like people name a SINGLE, just 1, well known or known company that is still active and pushing out games that STRAIGHT UP DENYS WOMEN EMPLOYEES? Because I sure as fucking cannot but id LOVE to hear some.

[editline]25th November 2014[/editline] I still have like 50 or so issues just sitting in my closet. They had some good articles for a long time, but after a while it just felt like regurgitated stuff from other places. Let's see if they've changed.
Love that bit about gg being the worst hate group in history.
I love it when people call GG worse than ISIS and compare the actions of harassers to WWII horrors, while saying said horrors should happen to them. How disconnected from reality and dumb as a rock must one be to compare a group that beheads people (to say the least), to a group of harassers? And thats me assuming they are directing themselves at harrassers and not actual GGers, despite them directing themselves at GGers in general because they ARE dumb enough to bunch up both.

I hope someone gasses you to death and rolls your body into a volcano." Yeah there is a bit of a magnitude difference here.
Anyone expert in wikipedia politics can explain why is it so difficult to stop someone who's clearly personally involved from editing an article? Surely wikipedia is not so starved in terms of editors that it needs to hang onto them despite obvious conflicts of interest?

http://thisistheverge.tumblr.com/post/103566369620/our-far-cry-4-review-we-deserve-better-excuses The Verge posted a review on Far Cry 4. It's 2 pages worth of whining about the narrative and not a single word on gameplay :v:
"We deserve better excuses for killing people in video games" are you god damn fucking kidding me fucking white people
"We deserve better excuses for killing people in video games" are you god damn fucking kidding me fucking white people
So you can kill people in real life?
"We deserve better excuses for killing people in video games" are you god damn fucking kidding me fucking white people
Okay, we get it. You're not white. Shut the fuck up about it now please, it stopped being funny after the first time. I dunno how anybody in their right mind would call that a review to be honest, if it doesn't even touch on other major aspects of video games, then it's missing some pretty key information. If you want to spend two pages complaining about narratives do it as a proper piece and just refer to that piece in the review dammit.
I still don't know what part of fc4 is supposed to be anti-gamergate. I guess the verge doesn't either seeing as there's no 10/10 review.

Of course, nobody gave a shit about any of it. Also funfact: some of the NPCs from your faction will be women, while the enemies are always men. Talk about double standards!
Is that all true about the story? I saw his tweets earlier and said it would the story will be just as hamhanded as FC3, but damn.

Let's make here a drug farmer in our game! And guess what, she's supposed to be the good guy!"
Of course Amita isn't based of off Anita.
Of course Amita isn't based of off Anita.
Well obviously not "based" off her, but she was somewhat of an inspiration for the guy, right? I want sources, I don't really trust that image. Anyway it still makes more sense than Borderlands 2 character randomly talking about the friendzone. I haven't even ever played BL2 (I played a bit of the first one, tho) and that made me cringe really hard.
From what i've seen, they seem to value bureaucracy, connections and experience with that bureaucracy over neutrality and rationality.
b-b-b-but wikipedia is not a bureaucracy. They even have a page that says so.
Although, is it actually a reference to Anita though, or just a coincidentally similar name?
It certanly feels like it's a bit too much of a coincidence, but I couldn't say for sure.
Anyway it still makes more sense than Borderlands 2 character randomly talking about the friendzone. I haven't even ever played BL2 (I played a bit of the first one, tho) and that made me cringe really hard.
Haha, no. Like, the second or third time you meet her there's a girl who's helping a crazy old woman and out of the fucking blue Amita goes something like "It's not right for a girl to be treated like that, like an object". I was like, what the fuck was that about and what does it have to do with anything that's happening? Then I saw that image and realized the connection.
Damn, this "Amita" thing is so goddamn ridiculous I'd rather believe that it was trying to be a parody of that mindset rather than a horrifyingly bad attempt at playing it straight.
the best part about that whole "review" or what the fuck ever is that it's not really even right all I know about Far Cry 4 is basically the main plot, of which (serious spoilers, if the words "main plot" didn't give that away) [sp]the "bad guy" Pagan is actually doing this for revenge over your mother's ashes, at the end the terrorists win and you piss the USA off, female terrorist turns the country into a drug country and makes tons of child soldiers and sends them off to fight, male terrorist executes a whole lot of people and brings the country back to it's old roots. either way the whole place ends up being pretty fucked since you messed everything up oh yeah, clearly these are great people to compare to social justice and equality [/sp]
Now his tweets really confuse me. They just literally make no sense now.
