Some people are suggesting that gg supporters make their appreciation of the video known in order to help fight the notion that gg is a racist, misogynist movement.

If you condemn something that feeling always lingers regardless of the precise message. If you support something then it happens too, but since the feeling is the opposite it's more likely for any individual to perpetuate the message in kind than by widening yet another distance just for that. It's also disarming in the best sense of that word.
