On one more note, why do "feminists" like that girl say that girls shouldnt let you hold the door for people? Like...is where she lives full of a bunch of rude people? I realize here in the south it is considered a very good trait to be polite and I have always held those values as true for everyone. I mean I visited Seattle and people were very polite to me there as well.

These people must be absolutely deranged or something. I truly hate to say such a mean thing but it makes me feel like a bad person, that Im wrong for thinking I should be nice to someone. In Birmingham we do it all the time, guys hold doors for girls, girls hold doors for guys, guys hold doors for guys, and girls hold doors for girls. And basically that concept is applied to a lot of stuff like that, basically just common courtesy.

I honestly believe some of these people have emotional issues. Seeing someone holding the door for you out of politeness as an insidious act of undermining your ability for self-governance or alternatively callously implying that you need the door held for you because yoU're incapable of doing so is just...
