Some heavy stuff is going on right now proving that Wu never even fled her home. In this interview from September 18, 2014 Wu says that she works from home. https://archive.today/2wJje#selection-559.0-559.65 Here a picture someone did showing the same landmarks and items from every all of her interviews she's done. It's all the same location. Here's a big picture of the room. I don't know when this image was, but my guess is from the recent Al Jazeera interview. Feel free to correct me on this. Here's a tweet of hers from December of 2013 (waaay before all this) which shows that it's the same desk, same floor, same poster location, same everything.
I don't see how this is related to her fleeing.
It's confirming that she works from home, and all the pictures show her doing interviews from her home after she allegedly fled.
It's confirming that she works from home, and all the pictures show her doing interviews from her home after she allegedly fled.
I had assumed that the flight was always implied to be temporary.
I had assumed that the flight was always implied to be temporary.
According to this article published October 13th (she allegedly fled sometime at night on October 9th) https://archive.today/3DD5E it says
Wu did confirm that she briefly returned home to "make sure nothing had been vandalized and to pick up some computer equipment," but added that she's "not planning on being home for a while." The Arlington Police Department has filed the incident with the department's Criminal Investigation Bureau. Wu has also reported the case to the FBI and a detective in Boston.
Also in the same article is this gem.
"I am a professional developer, and I'd like to think I'm well regarded in this field," she told Polygon. "I can think of no quicker way to destroy my career than making up a false allegation like this, getting the FBI involved and getting arrested over it. It's absurd."
Now you're probably thinking that she just fled home for a weekend and then came back and stayed. Well according to this article published October 17th (a whole week and 2 video interviews done from her home) http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2014/oct/17/brianna-wu-gamergate-human-cost
Brianna Wu doesn’t know when she can go home again. She can’t tell me where she is – doing so might not be safe.
she has two homes? You can get stipends from rich family.
I had assumed that the flight was always implied to be temporary.
During at least one of the interviews with that background she said she wasn't home, if I'm not terribly mistaken. [editline]11th December 2014[/editline] Here's a thunderclap for the new year that was posted on 8chan: https://www.thunderclap.it/projects/19630-gamergate-2015
The Wu thing seems like grasping at straws. Not worth pursuing. Even if she is still at home (which I honestly think she is) no one in their right mind would report on that. Assuming her threats were real (which again, I don't think most people believe) the last thing we want to do is give her more of a reason to cry harassment or give her alleged harassers more information to work with. If someone were asking me on live TV if I was at home after getting threats I sure as hell wouldn't admit to being home either. That's just playing the devil's avocado though
Didn't we have a couple of pictures of Wu 'proving' that 4Chan attacks her, when in fact the picture in question was created prior to events even taking place, and something about formats and shit? I remember something like that. She never left her home, that's pretty much obvious. She wasn't harassed out of her home, nothing of the sort happened. We know it, we can't prove it, and even if we could, no one's gonna listen to us, so yeah. Just drop it, the bitch got away with it.
Evidence is still here, completely usable and proven to be factual, it's just ignored completely. I still have the original file (taken directly from the source.) It basically predicted an attack on Wu before it happened - however when I asked people about it they said it was just "coincidence," and a hundred other excuses. Problem is it's not "rock hard" evidence (despite being completely verified) and can't prove a whole lot, other then it predicted the attack successfully.

And even then media will instead try and find who pressed her into saying that. Nah, she got away with it. As much as it pisses me off, I hate when people lie to press. (If it was her, that'd be the excuse I'd use.) We can determine it was either pre-planned or extremely lucky, the former more likely, but even the off-chance that it could be luck makes it unusable evidence and will be thrown under the bus (and it was.) Also, since twitter doesn't allow you to access the original source of the image, instead creating its own, it was impossible to determine the time-stamp of that file; if it was an earlier copy it would be solid evidence it was her or somebody in her household who made it (simply by matching metadata.) During my own investigations I tried to match it or find anything related to images she or her friends had previously edited, but unfortunately Wu herself had not uploaded any images with original sources. If I could have one of those files in which she uploaded with original metadata, I might be able to match them, in which case the coincidences (such as the program used to edit the file) would be too many to put off as "just another coincidence." Otherwise, it's useless. I might be wrong about the whole thing, though. It's not bad to check.

Wu should be treated like every other troll ignored and shunned. Hell she could be utilizing all the controversy to sell her game. There are opportunists abound in this issue its important not to lose focus of whats important to you.

Those tweets were also very obviously a bait and yet the words seemed to be carefully chosen and not like your average internet troll, just like the "letter from an ex gamergate" she received. https://archive.today/vA1nH So either: 1. She made those herself 2. Someone she knows made those and then sent her an indignated screencap on his real account (however, why wouldn't he just link the tweet instead of screencapping it?) 3. Some troll screencapped their own tweets, posted it somewhere and she found them (no mention of this, and why wouldn't she call out "8chan did it!" then? she's done it for so much less) The big pile o' coincidences get bigger and bigger uh?

But for a movement that insists it isn't about these people, you sure as shit talk about them all the fucking time. If Wu and her mates are not important as people (which they aren't, ethical journalism is an industry problem, not a personal one), why the fuck do you lot seemingly stalk their Twitter accounts waiting for the next chance to lay down some ~sick burns~~ Just fucking ignore them. Completely. Pretend they don't exist until they do something stupid on national TV or whatever. And no, calling them "LW" does not count, you're still fucking talking about them. [editline]FlakAttack Mattk50 Spudstorm codemaster85[/editline] Oh sorry I forgot I'm not allowed to call GG people out for doing dumb shit. How about you actually try and tell me why what I'm posting is pointless rather than hiding behind a rating?
That's pretty much the one thing I hate the most about gamergate, every day there's someone either here or on KiA making a post about how anonymous internet zealot number 363 said some stupid shit on the internet. We fucking get it stop talking about it it's a waste of time
I wonder how things will pan out once the 4th quarter numbers come in from Gawker it does have investors right?
If anything, her being so fucking silly on Twitter is the best thing she can do to mess with GG, it keeps distracting you lot, so I dread to think how distracting it is to the hordes of Reddit and the Chans. Her mates and customers wont give a fuck about her dumber tweets, they already like her. So it basically just keeps distracting the people who dislike her.
i didn't know you could shitpost tumblr gifs during a al jazeera debate http://branch.com/b/gamergate-debate-video-games-free-speech-misogyny also

Somehow not picking up on this at all, then continuing to be a fucking idiot.
i like how they keep saying sam biddle's bullying tweets were obviously sarcastic. if they were obvious then why would advertisers pull out?
Basically they're pulling the "it wasn't meant to be offensive!" aka more hypocrisy.

That "America Tonight" debate was a good read. Hotwheels and Brooke did a good job.
