I'd be more interested to hear why kickstarter hasn't done anything about it, since what she did was clrealy against the guidelines that were updated not too long ago Though I'm not exactly surprised to see that kickstarter's guidelines are pointless. Of course if kickstarter just came out and said "if you get scammed then too bad for you" nobody would use their service.

So yes, as Gabe Newell pointed out himself, this was a bad move because it went against their own ToS.
