Still, gamergate achieved more traction and results in a few months than other movements ever seen in years, that's a pretty clear indication that the loose movement system works, even with it's downsides. That said I think it's a good idea, but so long it can coexist with gamergate as it is.

"S.EXE" covers a relevant subject (now moreso than ever), but does so without saying anything even remotely worthwhile. Nobody wants a play-by-play of the author's choices, regardless of who that author may be. The important questions to answer is why is sex/romance in the game you're playing and [I]should[/I] it be there. Also, the writer [I]has[/I] to be someone who does not buy games for romance unless that's literally all there is to the game.

Man, Sargon is really in the shitter in terms of arguing. Yeah, he says valid points, but he combines it with insults and just clips of him laughing, it really detracts from any good criticism.

It's an interesting subject, but covering it is way beyond the author's grasp, despite what she thinks. Instead of doing what you propose, she just digs up weirdo indie/unerground games about sex and funny sex mods, then talks about her experiences with them. It's a complete waste of a good idea.
The most telling thing about it is that I've seen it be called "deep" writing in the comments section of these articles. If they think Cara's garbage is deep, then god help them if they read a genuine analysis instead of a blog post that's a mix of her describing her choices in the game and angsty personal ancedotes.

They have "their truth" as if there were many truths. You know, I get this a lot when I argue with extreme progressives. I lay down some facts, some evidence, some history, and some logic and close with something like, "Hey, looks like the truth to me." The response invariably is not to counter with opposing evidence, find holes in the logic, site alternative historical examples or any of that. The usual response is to say "You're crazy," without ever saying I'm wrong. And when I say, "Fine, I'm crazy, but it's true though isn't it?" They'll say the same thing every single time, "Well, that's your truth."
I have my truth, you see, these SJWs have their truths, everybody has their own truth, this is a mantra on the side of the SJWs. And if you think about it, it has to be the mantra of the SJW because there's no social justice without it.
Look, when facts, history, logic, reason and other evidence are on one side and not on the other, than the entire idea of verifiable fact has to be discredited. Not only must history be ignored, but the entire idea of objective history has to be ridiculed and discarded. Logic, that stern and uncompromising strop to Occam's razor, that if A = B and B = C that A = C. That transcendental mathematical understanding of things... "Well, that's simply a construct of privileged white males which has no more validity than astrology or palm reading. It's just another belief system no better or worse than any other."
Let's just break this nonsense down with some specific examples. I think that the race of a video game's player character is in no way relevant to those who play them. People like Anita Sarkeesian think the opposite. She would say that, I have my truth and she has her truth.

Now, unfortunately for the SJWs, the truth is the truth. It doesn't care a fig for what I or Zoe Quinn believe, it is what it is. So when I say that the race of a video game character doesn't matter, that is not "my truth", that is [I]my opinion[/I]. So when an SJW tells you what they are saying is "their truth", they are actually stealing. SJWs are good at stealing, their entire philosophy consists of taking what does not belong to them. Now what they are stealing in this case is credibility. By talking about "their truths", they are stealing the awesome credibility and power of the word truth (or in the case of some, the title "journalist") and gluing it on to the front of their opinion to buff it up and give it some unearned weight and respect.
So, when I say that race is irrelevant in gaming, that's my opinion, when an SJW says that having a character be white is oppressive to minorities that's their opinion. But, out there in the real world, beyond our precious and worthless little opinions, real minorities have played both people they identify with and those they haven't identified with, and their moods after doing so are certainly real, most definitely not opinions. Now I don't know what exactly counts as someone who deserves social justice, but one thing we do know, not one single black man has ever called up Valve to complain about how the identity of Gordon Freeman as a white, privileged, male, highly paid scientist has offended them. Or maybe if one did, perhaps out of irony, did make such a complaint, it still wouldn't change my opinion, because in the vast majority of cases my opinion is closest to the truth.
And now we get down to the brass tacks: because the fact, the evidence, logic, and history are on my side and not the SJWs' is not coincidence and its not luck either. Those things don't give a damn what people like me think, or what people like them think, they're just out there. I'm on the side of the evidence, reason, and logic not because I brought them to my side of the argument. They're immovable, I can't touch them. I'm on the same side as them because I went to them. I didn't start out with an emotional position of "things that would be nice to believe". And, parenthetically, I do not have wishful thoughts, revenge fantasies, and delusions of grandeur wrapped tight in pseudo-scientific and pseudo-philosophical jargon designed to steal credibility from what is, and redistribute it according to need.

LOL the Al-Jazeera article cited Borderlands as an example of minority representation done right. Almost all of it's minority characters are poorly written characters that have their gayness front line and center as if it was THE most defining part of who they are. The only exception is Sir Hammerlock.
HINT: one of the reasons why the gay rights movement has worked so well on a personal level is because homosexuals have been emphasizing that they're normal people instead of deviants that love thinking about assfucking other men or scissoring other women all the time to the point where being gay is the most defining attribute about them. Then again, Tony seems like the type that gets all of his information about minorities from sites like Tubmlr and Upworthy, so that little bit of information was never presented to him.
