I understand having a problem with 8chan (not that I agree with it, but I understand why they would do it), but none of the major voices of GG ever done anything like that, AGG on the other hand.. ...that is assuming patreon did this to tackle the actual problems and not as a veiled anti-gg move.

While it does suck that Patreon removed 8chan, it's probably the best option they could of chose. I imagine that if they didn't go with this option, death threats, DDOSing, Doxing and other stuff would happen to the staff of the company. But to equal it out so they don't get more people complaining about it, leaving the staff in fear of death threats, DDOSing, Doxing and other stuff, they added other things as well.

Either they double standard and their rep dies or remove the SJWs prompting even worse reactions. Like, they remove 8chan over some members of the communty maybe maybe not violating the patreon tos by doxing, but we have 100% proof that people llike zoe, wu, have doxxed on their public twitter accounts.
