somewhere after the first hour seelie guy made a point about that's in the patriot act in that police false claims are an act of terrorism. He said more stuff that's important I think that information should be spread around once that exact document in the law is found.
hotwheels was told by patreon that he can no longer use patreon to support 8chan. http://pastie.org/9793622 so Hotwheels agreed and decided to change his patreon to support him uploading videos of his cat every week: http://www.patreon.com/user?u=162165 for 8chan support, use gratipay now https://gratipay.com/infinitechan/
Could Tumblr be accused of doing that because of blogs like plebdox and gettingracistsfired?
Leigh Alexander has a new top 5 of 2014 (don't worry, it's archive.today) article which seems exclusively designed to get her insulted on twitter so that she has content for her next "gamers suck" article Number 3 is the Kim Kardashian mobile game
maybe they are clients under her PR company.
Here's the 8chan thread about Patreon. Including resources for contacting them about violations etc. This is certainly going to be interesting. [editline]22nd December 2014[/editline] Oh wow, he already updated the site header too :v:
8chan.co is my day job. If you can, please donate: Bitcoin (13osMmXnaHWRJhY3yRhWZLDLKZjWVxdFMi), Gratipay or support my cat videos at Patreon
Funny thing is, what hotwheels did is entirely within his rights, if his page is taken down it's going to be testament that their guideline update was a smokescreen to get rid of him Nothing's stopping him from investing what he's earning with the cat videos on 8chan, if people don't want cat videos they can stop being his patrons Remember that patreon is NOT kickstarter. You're not required to invest all of the donations on the project, you're getting paid to produce content and that's it
This War of Mine is the only decent game on it, Flamebait at its finest. :v:
I like The Long Dark... :(

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh shit. If Zoe Quinn loses her Patreon, this is going to explode.
let it all burn
Although, 7 days to comply with the terms of service, is kind of a bit dodgy since, while that one action was against the new TOS, it was an individual event and not a constant thing, like your patreon supporting the production of porn or something. Also, it really depends on whether the new TOS are retroactive or not, because if they are, then that means a whole lot of past thigns can be used to shut people down, but if it's not, then all past events are forgotten as far as patreon is concerned.

This will be the best Christmas and Christmas present I will have in years. Looks like the furry community (in the circles I am apart of) are upset about the patreon change.
I like to think that with the communities being upset about the Patreon change that they figure it was Anti-Gamergate's doing, they then join Gamergate and we become bigger than ever, we would have all the communities as part of it. Gamergate has grown beyond Gaming, and so has anti-gamergate.

Ruminate on that for a while. This behavior has been unchecked for years. Years.

Wouldn't put it past patreon to find nothing wrong with her behaviour tbh.
I appreciate the idea, but this isn't helping the narrative that "GG is a bunch of LW bullies".
I appreciate the idea, but this isn't helping the narrative that "GG is a bunch of LW bullies".
Is it bullying to expose what a massive douchebag some of these people are? The Mojos in particular? The only reason we ARE interested in them is because they use the facade that they are caring people fighting for "social justice" when instead they are trying to exclude anyone who doesn't fit their bullshit narrative. It is not bullying to see someone being cruel to others, and then tell that person "you are a fucking asshole."
I appreciate the idea, but this isn't helping the narrative that "GG is a bunch of LW bullies".
That's true, but I feel that they're going to dismiss or downplay the complaints anyway. It wouldn't look good on Patreon at all if they took action against her. After all, she has longtime Wikipedia editors and the entire press on her side.
I appreciate the idea, but this isn't helping the narrative that "GG is a bunch of LW bullies".
Why are pointing out assholes and the terrible shit they do considered bullying or harassment?
Why are pointing out assholes and the terrible shit they do considered bullying or harassment?
Them using the term bully is REALLY fucking ironic considering the mojos and their posse have made it their fucking mission to applaud anyone who tows the party line and to condemn and/or outright blacklist the people who disagree from the industry they wish to partake in.
Looks like the furry community (in the circles I am apart of) are upset about the patreon change.
Any example in particular?I remember mention that I was wondering how long it would take SJWs to try and "sanitize" other fringe cultures this could kick that off.
why haven't you guys supported north korea yet? all of GG is doing it apparently https://archive.today/r2KFn
Oh joy another slanderous smear article.Anyone have a count on how many we are up to?
Weren't these same people saying that it was a good thing that the film was cancelled because Rogen's a hack and the film was racist? This might not have been anti-GG people who said this stuff, but... honestly, applauding a group of cyber-terrorists for getting a movie effectively censored just because you disagree with the people who made it sounds much more like their bag.
https://twitter.com/PlayDangerously/status/547144882674880512 https://archive.today/nLTAS
Sam @PandaChi why is Patreon enforcing its guidelines against a disabled developer, @infinitechan, but no one else?
So it's not just sexually explicit patreons that aren't allowed, it's anyone who is even tangentially connected to sexually explicit content. What a bunch of bullshit.
[...]
So basically she just tried to take credit for the whole thing by exaggerating her role, and didn't have opportunity to influence them that much? This is getting better by the hour  (I know it's possible to call Skype calls meetings but still, it would be unusual to do so.) I hope that in the end everyone realized how terrible unclear guidelines are and they take a really dry clear-cut stance again
Alienating half of your users just to get after one "problematic" user is problematic by itself. I am just waiting for them to ban his patron for "Hes related to a site so it can be banned" Cue 95% of users being under the exact same flag.
