Corruption in gaming journalism discussion and update thread. - General

It is rather relevant though because that kind of behavior in the industry is abhorrent. Its pretty damned obvious GamerGate has long moved beyond just games journalism, and as it rightly should. So developers acting like disingenuous scum is rather relevant regardless of the journalism aspect. What they are doing is actively harmful to gamers are enthusiasts and as consumers.

So really it's just - Get rid of these total dicks in the industry who think they can make a buck off of it by screwing over consumers. I guess too many people got on the "screw as many people as possible over" train. They need to realize there [I]is[/I] repercussions for their actions, and not earn literal millions from their "mistakes." [editline]26th December 2014[/editline] If I could list all the things the game industry has disappointed me with, not to mention easily fixable mistakes - it would be quite the sight to behold. My biggest and absolute trifle (although unrelated to gamergate, sort of) is the "assembly line" of videogames coming out. It seems like every videogame coming out these days is a rehash of features from another, and then there early-access... yeah. Unreal tournament is the only game I am looking forward too and possibly my last until the gaming industry gets it shit together. I am just wasting money at this point. But this journalism bullshit - attacking US for it's problems - is completely despicable, and probably why many of you are here.

Then she's calling someone a dickbag. It just struck me as odd to see all of that in a slew of tweets.

It's a consumer revolt, and these anti-consumerist policies championed by Dead State and plenty of other Kickstart/Early Access trash games need to be exposed for what they are.
