God, even from his face you can tell he's the kind of pompous prick who only pretends to care about social issues to look good and score brownie points. Probably never had to face actual troubles in his life.
Just like the rest of anti-gg!
That's quite a lot to assume based simply on his face. Are you some kind of mentalist?

It's a talent I have. Like in those cop action movies.
Very subtle satire, possibly not even related.
If playing certain video games makes one a misogynist, what does playing Bowser video games do?

The really funny part about this is that Ghazi seems to think this article is making fun of GG. They really have no self-awareness.

Technically, it could be interpreted both ways very easily.
I think that's the point.
On game_jam, even if we had more information all the very "sour" events allegedly took place in private, so we would never have any evidence if it ever actually happened, very easily they could claim "Well it was private, and of course the person who did it doesn't want to come forward." Even if you forced them to say who it was, they would go "I don't know, some guy." I never looked at the situation very closely until now.
In evidence that can be confirmed, if one of the crew or producers comes up and says "yeah we did ask those questions" then that's that. They were being sexist, and there was a legitimate reason to be angry. But I assume that won't happen, if it did happen then Zoe Quinn had legitimate reasons to be angry.
Unless somebody comes out and says "They are outright lying." It's nothing but rumors and hearsay. (I use that word a lot it seems!) Looking at evidence, it seem very likely that they did ask those questions. Many youtubers there had tweets from around the same time that seemed to give off that vibe. Example - Now of course, she didn't have to have a pissyfit afterwords and leave, but you know, that's other stuff.
The idea that she knew that it would introduce indie to a corporate world and wouldn't be easy to control is a conspiracy theory and should have been kept to himself, that's just insane. Dumb article with nothing but rumors and conspiracy theories. He could still be right, sure, but there's zero evidence that suggests that other then she is manipulative.
Blacklist maker blocks known Anti-gg, fight ensues

All the trash that gets kicked out of Boston, NYC, Chigago, and Atlanta all get sent to San Fran to be a bunch of cocksniffs since its the last place that would accept them for a job.
As I recall, one thing about GAME_JAM is that literally the next day after the whole thing crashed ZQ's Rebel Game Jam or whatever it was called showed up online, accepting donations for a Game Jam of her own. It was ready to go before the dust had fully even settled.

Quinn has called sexual harassment at every job she's ever worked where she wasn't her own boss; circumstantial? Yes.
It's also rather blatant in establishing motive.
Quinn has called sexual harassment at every job she's ever worked where she wasn't her own boss; circumstantial? Yes.
It's also rather blatant in establishing motive.
Not motive, modus operandi.
Motive in that particular instance, ie defame someone with a tried and true technique, go forward with a co-opting thereof with herself as the producer rather than participant.
Motive in that particular instance, ie defame someone with a tried and true technique, go forward with a co-opting thereof with herself as the producer rather than participant.
That isn't motive, its modus operandi. Method of operation. That is a reoccurring action of hers. To use sexual harassment as a means of leverage is an MO would be a method of operation, not a motive. The motive is the reason, the MO is the actions.
I'm just talking about this particular instance; I realize what you're saying but I'm alluding specifically to the Jam circumstance, and not her history except circumstantially.
She was able to do something in this instance that she hasn't been able to do at any other time; if her DeviantNation record is accurate, and I'm talking about the result of her MO/actions, not the actual act itself.
Sorry it wasn't clearer.
Whatever Quin has allegedly done or not done is secondary to what Mtn Dew and Disney did to make a mess of indie gaming .
Pretty sure indie gaming was on this path well before corporate interests decided to help things along, especially where "journalism" is concerned.

Maker Studios wasn't owned by Disney when that happened IIRC.
can someone post some proof of anti-gg swatting people?
Maker Studios agreed to sell to Disney on the 24th of March, 2014. Stories of Game Jam going to shit came out a week later..

On that note I a few days ago articles popped up about Devi Ever (now Grace Lynn)'s old address being swatted by someone on 8chan (apparently in the /baphomet/ board, whatever that is).
The Ars Technica article fortunately sticks to the facts, which is impressive since she and pretty much every other news outlet blamed it on #GamerGate.

Apparently it's down but [vid]http://a.pomf.se/koygqu.webm[/vid] is/was the swatter's Twitter, if anyone's curious. If he's not lying about his country of residence it's unlikely for him to be held accountable, unfortunately.
"You are blocked from following @laura_hudson and viewing @laura_hudson's Tweets."
Wait, what? How did that happen? Oh, right.

/baphomet/ IS NOT related to /gamergate/ at all. Baphomet is literally only about doxxing, they dox anyone who even speaks up against them. I denounce all their actions, and so should you.
https://archive.today/tImQO
The theory here is that GAME_JAM was taken down by contestants by collusion, in order to stop big companies taking foothold in indie industry (and keep the power with those who are rallying against GG right now).
And if evidence is shown to the big companies involved supposedly they'd turn against the clique and side with GG.
While it's possible that'd help, I personally don't want any more involvement for any company that had a hand in game_jam considering it failing was a good thing to everyone in gaming.
I need some of the dumbest slogans and things anti gamers said for something I'm putting together. Only a few words long, something that would fit on say, a picket sign
Right now I've got:
"Fun is a neurological trick"
"Listen and Believe"
"Gamers are dead"
"Bring Back Bullying"
Anyone can think of anything better?
https://twitter.com/radicalbytes should be a goldmine for that.

When it comes up. I don't think advertising them by doing it preventively does any good.

It'd be better to just ignore them, we have literally no control over them and the best way to deal with them is letting them fade into obscurity.
Of course that might not be possible when you've got professional victims all claiming harassment from the evil Gator board /baphomet/
