McIntosh is following up on his previous retweet: (archive)
lmao Charlie Hebdo mocks the Catholic church and Israel, what a fucking joke. This whole outrage against Chalie Hebdo (you know, the organization who's people were murdered by psychopaths a few days ago??) makes my blood boil. Talk shit about video gamers all you want but the tweets out of Arthur Chu and McIntosh are just monstrously bad.
There's a stream going on currently: Brennan is on there in the first thirty minutes of the recording, apparently he got the domain back. He'll be back on Patreon eventually too, but only once 8chan is stable for a few days.
8chan.co redirects to 8ch.net now
I'm gleefully waiting to see what happens when Intel hears about this. Nigga shot himself in the foot harder than the Orion drive.
Intel will do nothing. The chance for the #gamergate incident to be heard as a rational and consumer based call for equality in front of and also behind the box is long long since passed. If gamers and devs had risen up and said as a few did "this is fundamentally wrong, change will come but not this way and not by these methods" there was a very real chance this could have been relegated to civil discussion and actual debate instead if twittery idiot hour and How I Learned To Blog Muh Feels And Get Paid. That window is very much closed and has been for a while. This is 100% political now, and the political interests within both camps will simply regurgitate their stances and pretty much what has already occurred will be what occurs except for minor incidents and mockery flare-ups here and there every couple of months or so, until court cases start getting venued. Intel is literally the most progressively-political multinational company in business today besides Xerox and they have fully thrown in with the side that appears to be progressive according to mass media. That ship has sailed and the time people should have been lobbying and building construcitve avenues on both sides of the consumer fence was spent deriding an already painted and tarred opposition (by their own hand, even). They are not going to unspend 300 million dollars. Ever. The window to show them the truth is well since over. The window to get an open dialog is done. Q4 is gone and past, and the time to for consumers to go "nope, not gonna play politics in a medium that has no use for it" is pretty much over. The only thing that would get Intel to listen is a severe quarterly loss directly attributed to consumer dissatisfaction with their political and marketing policies, and that's not going to happen, because no one in their right minds is going to buy an AMD based on political reasons, when they can afford a logistically and performance superior product. The only thing that would make any company listen is hitting the bottom line and then being able to avoid that hit being spun as malicious and petty.
