The issue is a lot of those games were made by third party developers specifically for the PS2 platform.
I always wonder if gaming really was better when I was younger or if i was younger
but these days I'm starting to lean that gaming actually [I]was[/I] better before journalism, because it was actually about creating a fun memorable experience for the player
Yeah, there was a shitton of shovelware back then, way more than there is now but on the whole the big companies were focused on delivering quality games with rich complexity
look at shit like Planescape Torment, or Deus Ex
my god you do not get games like those outside of indie studios anymore

If you don't want at least ONE game in there, either I missed it (very easy that I missed a lot) or you just plain don't like video games. I would buy literally every one of those if I had that kind of money. 2014 is pretty packed, but it's stacked towards october and november more than usual.

out of the list for next year I can only pick out Far Cry 4, Smash 4, Bayonetta, Isaac rebirth, and LBP3.

This year is going to kick ass man, maybe i'm just super optimistic but this year has gotten my hopes up for AAA with all these new ips.

Someone should tell Tim that other devs and journalists (i.e. Anna Anthropy) pointed this out years ago, and that there was a previous write-up about this same problem on RPS. And that this wasn't just something some kind of mspaint screenshot, but something that led to an FBI report.

I genuinly think Tim is the kind of guy who just wants his own little corner so he can do his own thing in peace. And I wouldn't be surprised if the reason he wants this thing to blow over is so he can go back to talking to people freely without the risk of severing ties because he said the wrong thing.
Tbh I wouldnt want to be in his position.
