Max is an idiot, he's been given criticism over years and still refuses to change, but regardless he's irrelevant to all of this.

The "ace up their sleeve" was the leaked IRC logs. But we quickly countered that with the IGF/Indiecade news. Because, you know, proving several male industry workers are committing fraud and racketeering is 10x more compelling than a bunch of trolls circlejerking in IRC.
