If there is any form of layer involved, you won't be hearing anything for a while. So it's best to just get on with your life until some kind of announcement. It could take a very long time for a serious allegation like this.

the waiting is the worst part, in the mean time, I hope more stuff gets found out. Then again, that'll probably mean that the investigation will take longer.

I just had a difficult time trying to explain this whole damn thing to my brother and his girlfriend. I kept trying to say that the movement has gone away from Zoe but they kept asking me just what she did that was so wrong. I tried mentioning the TFYC thing and the Wizardchan thing but they sided with her because they thought the original clause in TFYC (that Zoe supposedly disagreed with) was unjustifiable and claimed that Wizardchan is full of misogynists (because that guy who shot up people because he couldn't get laid frequented there). So I just told them to look this shit up on Know Your Meme because honestly I probably bungled the explanation on all that because I don't know shit about Zoe Quinn's part in this, I just know the whole clash that came after between gamers and journalists.
So now that we got the 'real world' involved (lawyers, FBI, Disney, etc.), things are going to happen real slow right? Maybe people would lose interest and all that anger would simmer down so that the real brains can stay for the dicussioms.
We haven't really got any solid confirmation on Disney or the FBI yet, just mumblings and maybes.
Personally, I'd wager that either of those two being proven as stepping into the fray would stoke the flames higher than they've ever been. Disney for the sheer "OH SHIT" factor, of course, but the FBI... Could you imagine what it would look like if -- in the middle of damn near all of gaming journalism shouting in unison that there's no corruption and anyone who says otherwise is morally bankrupt scum -- a single lady with socialization problems so severe that she can't vocalize her findings herself did all the research they refused to do, and did it well enough for the feds to take up the case? The fallout would be [b]apocalyptic[/b].

Eh, KYM links to the IA videos, though I doubt they'll spend much time on this. Mostly because my brother has a huge "Holier Than Thou" complex and always believed that gamers and internet geeks in general are douchebags. But partly because most couples have better things to do than look up stuff that, for now, is nothing more than internet drama. I mean, if the authorities do actually get involved they might take this seriously, but for now it's just internet drama to most people.

The problem with this is basically telling someone to take an hour out of their day to learn about this. I've been asked a few times now, and I've been tempted to say "Just watch these videos." but they're 20-25 min each. No one is going to watch all that despite how much I'd like to have a conversation about it, and I I couldn't explain it in any less time at this point.
