I'm going to need somebody to slowly explain to me how that can be construed as anti-semitism.

Frankfurt-Germany-Nazis-Antisemitism.
OBVIOUSLY

Literally all I can think of is 'Marx was Jewish, using his name to create something with a negative connotation is anti-Semitic'. As much as I despise the term 'cultural Marxism' because it completely ignores the actual point of Marxism, I don't think using the term is anti-Semitic, just a bit silly.

Because Reasons that will not be explained and if you question or ask for an explanation you're an anti-Semite as well.

Here are two posts that got me banned for extremely arbitrary reasons. There are more but I didn't bother to go back further.

IIRC it only happened to become 'cultural Marxism" because the term "materialism" left a bad aftertaste in people's mouths at that point.
And it's probably anti-semitic because "Marx is socialism, and who was against socialism? Hitler! Therefore, anti-Semitic"

Ugh, while the reasons may seem arbitrary (though it was a very bad post), these have nothing to do with your opinion.
I agree. I just needed to get this out of my chest somewhere. I don't like getting unfairly banned.
Although they pretty much point out to why the "other side" of this whole gamer gate thing doesn't seem to listen to reason. Allow me to arm-chair-psychologically elaborate:
People who want social justice and who want a better world are naturally goodhearted. They're so goodhearted that any time someone disagrees with them or whenever they find themselves in a ~discussion~ or an ~argument~ they want to stop it. They don't really like confrontation. It's why you see over and over again the "aaaaaaaaaaaand blocked :)" thing. They are naturally thin-skinned people who get too emotionally invested in things for their own good.
When these types of people get in positions of power (as a lot of journalists and indie devs did), because of their lack of ability to not get emotionally invested in things, instead of exercising their powers to stand for actual justice (as people in positions of power should), they exercise their powers to make the world a better place for them. This means that they use their power to speak out against people being mean or against people who simply disagree with them. If someone disagrees with them and they have power, the best way to evade this ~drama~ is by removing whoever is causing it, right?
What this does to communities is that discussions between people are gradually seen as ~drama~ and then people start getting randomly banned for just discussing things. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=hugbox It's what a hugbox means. While Facepunch is not at a super high hugbox level, it shows signs that every hugboxy community does, such as the banned examples I gave.
Here is a bit of context on that whole cultural Marxism conspiracy theory thing and what that guy meant about entry level anti semitism.
I'm going to need somebody to slowly explain to me how that can be construed as anti-semitism.
Most of the Frankfurt School were Jews, ergo to oppose them is to be anti-Semite.
Something tells me this guy isn't a big fan of Israel, though.

Now that is really low.
Funny that Facepunch of all places is making fun of this. Facepunch is, out of all forums I use, the most ban-happy when it comes to dissenting opinions.
Well, couple of things.
1. Facepunch uses bans as warnings, not punishment (except for Permabans) The reason this is so is because slapping someone int he face with a temporary ban is usually more effective thank asking them to please not do what they were doing again.
2. You're not usually banned for having a dissenting opinion (unless, you know, it's a really really fucking stupid or trolling opinion), usually you're banned for how you express your opinion. You can disagree with someone all you like, just be calm, polite and reasonable about it.
Of course, Facepunch has had a varied history on what you could get banned for, even saying particular words, although they were usually offensive terms, though you could get hit sometimes for non offensive.
But most of all we’d like to thank /v/, 4chan, and Vivian James who throughout the entire campaign have been nothing but supportive. This is your victory as much as ours and we thank you for it. People wouldn’t have heard about us without your efforts, and this project would not be possible without your contributions.
And last of all we’d like to thank everyone that was so angry about this project. Without your continual anger, there wouldn’t be new information to keep the conversation flowing and interesting. Without you, we would have been forgotten.

If that isn't fake and IFred makes a statement its over for she who shall not be named.
Surely not even her most rabid followers could deny that this is bad if it gets confirmed?

Well it says "Portion" and that means they could go and donate 1$ and be done with it.

I suppose that is true, but unless the amount is hidden I'd still say that's undeniably petty, and that they (hopefully) should see through it.
What prevents Wikipedia from including any pro-GameGate information that most of the information is from blogs and Twitter. This would then be among the first evidence that is by Wikipedia and other sources standard a real source they can't deny. Still requires them to make a public statement about it.
I probably worded it a bit awkward. I meant if the foundation confirmed it, not that it was confirmed.

I'd urge you to be cautious and wait for the video before making a snap judgement and even then to exercise restraint
Yeah a later tweet said it'd be about an hour before the video is up.
Surely not even her most rabid followers could deny that this is bad if it gets confirmed?
They'd probably end up saying she needed the money for herself cause shes poor and helpless or something. That's what these kind of people do, they try and warp things to make then trigger you emotionally.
anyone else find it very weird that a new thing happens every 3 days
I'd urge you to be cautious and wait for the video before making a snap judgement and even then to exercise restraint
But also keep in mind that, if it all checks out after a thorough enough examination, roughly 80% of last week's vitriol against gamers as a whole can then be directly linked back to not a single games journalist bothering to fact-check.
If -- if -- this turns out to be legit and the proof solid... Well. Calmly, rationally, let all involved parties know about it. Hell, sponsors might even find it interesting.
She'll probably say something like she was too scared to call the police or something like that to paint herself the victim.
Who woulda thought that we would reach the days where we were condemning Tim Schafer and praising BOBBY KOTICK
Among other things as well. If there was anything to cause a huge transformation of the games industry, this is it.
But worry not folks! We have begun blockading Kokatu, Polygon, and the rest of the corrupt sites and soon they will burn to the ground while we enjoy a cool drink in our hands.
Also if this is true, that means a lot of reputable websites wrote an article about her harassment solely by her tweet and word alone, and never bothered to fact check.
