For example, right now with the whole charity thing, people seem to be acknowledging that Zoe DID give the money to the specified charities, but went outside all of the legal channels while doing so. Because it seems likely that she didn't lie 100%, just only a "little", if you get what I mean. But as said, you're right, so we need to be VERY careful lest we fall in the same trap.

Things like all the recent footage of police acting in the wrong during the Furgeson protests and whatnot stands in testament to this. Not trying to stand in support of any particular side here, but before we go declaring that we've exposed some incredible game-changer we really ought to make sure we have more definitive evidence than some dude's youtube video. Multiple confirmations of the same department saying the same thing, or an absolutely undeniable official statement, or something. Otherwise we're doing the same thing as the opposing side with their "IRC logs" and such by jumping onto shaky evidence as irrefutable proof. Before we go acting like this is some grand goddamn victory, we had better make goddamned sure that we're right. Otherwise, it's ammo to discredit us as liars and backstabbers. I'm as concerned about the movement as any of you, but gunning for emotional appeal over solid irrefutable evidence is not the way to go. That's committing the same sins as those whom we claim to be fighting against. Either do your own research or wait for the fruits to grow before you pick them. The last thing we need is some loose gap that the other side can pick apart and say "See? The gamergate side is nitpicking out of desperation!" I'm not saying that you shouldn't spread information and keep others updated as the situation evolves, but don't pass it off as "LOL WE WERE DEFINITELY RIGHT AND THE OPPOSERS ARE GOING TO JAIL" until we know for sure that's what's going to happen, without rumours or speculation or optimism. I want you to keep up the fight, but I want you to keep up a fair and unbiased fight too.

The fact that the police called her to no response only makes it harder to believe she filed a police report. The IRC logs were disproved because there was counter evidence to Zoe's claims. Anita needs to do to the same to disprove these evidence and claims.

If she's working with the FBI on it, or the case was handed from police to FBI, whats with the "police wouldn't take my report seriously" line? Giving your case to the FBI is pretty serious. They even encourage you to bring along evidence too. I did that for the campus pd and town pd when my cellphone was stolen. Surely they'll take death threats more seriously in a high-income place like San Fran.
