The only reason that things are the way they are is because Max just [i] narrowly [/i] fell from grace some time before this all happened. He'd have well enough outdone TH89's spree just to get his point across. And it just goes to show how careful you have to be when modding professionally on the Internet, now that it's evident other people like Max are silencing dissent.

I feel that Gamergate has also blown the lid on the gender feminism and the white male cheerleaders (who are occasionally sexists in disguise) it has that's infesting game journalism and development. A lot of people have been raised with the idea that feminism is about equality, but nitwits like Anita instead are more interested in making women into innocent angels that are constantly victims instead of people with their own beliefs, ideas, and agendas and can fight back without having to follow The Correct Ideology (TM). Christina Sommers in particular has really changed the game by presenting equality feminism as a valid alternative to what people like Anita promote as the "real" feminism. I've seen quite a few women praise Sommers' recent video, and I think it's partially because it actually empowers women with the ability to make their own choices and tell them that being who they are is just fine instead of implying that "true" women are crybaby cowards that are absolutely terrified whenever they see cleavage or a navel exposed on a female video game character and are perpetual victims that must let elitist West Coast feminists save them from themselves.

But doesn´t Anita sometimes shows her points quite well, but she wraps em in a big feministic wrap? That´s just my impression.

I think it would be for the best that we stop using Max as some kind of strawman and trying to make all these ~sick burns~ against him when he already got his punishment for making inflammatory posts. There's no point in posting inflammatory shit against him in retaliation for that when we know damn well he can't come back here to do anything about it since he already got his warning.

Can´t we just stop talking about max and start talking about the topic itself?

That is like Obama going to a Tea Party convention. I mean it makes no sense. It stands to reason that someone like him would dislike these people and this situation. There is nothing wrong with merely attending but you wouldnt intentionally go watch human garbage. But maybe Moot was always like this and just happened to create a website that has very radically different viewpoints on things. I dont want to jump to conclusions because im sure there is a reason for this but...I dunno. I feel sad again. With victories comes defeat in the form of fallen heroes. Just who the hell is going to stand up to these people and make things happen? We are making progress but will it be enough?
